Watched a film called one day so good the actor was called Dexter very emotional but Dexter was so good looking and kind and gentle When we got our springer spaniel puppy just thought got to call him Dexter he really is a true friend and everyone loves him

My partner and I named our pup - Rafa! We picked I'm up a few days ago and spent the first few hours playing in the living room with the Wimbledon final on in the background. Rafa was very interested in the TV so we named him after the legend Rafa Nadal 😂

My 12 week springer name dougie, named after a family member who introduced me to shooting and field sports who sadly passed away a few months ago. Brought happiness and joy back into our lives even with the struggle of training him as he’s a lively boy😂

We're due to pick up our working Cocker in a fortnight, and have named him Henry 😀 Our close friends have a Cocker pup named Harry, and my childhood best friend had twin brothers called Harry and Henry, so it was an easy decision!

We are collecting our WCS at the end of August as first time owners and can’t wait. We’ve been watching all of Charlie’s Vlogs and looking forward to putting everything in to practice. He will be called Lando (hopefully fast like Lando Norris and a lovely bright colour like McLaren 🧡🖤) I liked Max for a name but my husband isn’t as keen on Verstappen so that name was swiftly removed as an option haha

Our springer name is Murtaugh fitzbibbins Hand. Registered. Hes 16 months old. My wife named him after an actor the Netflix show Outlander. I thought of the movie "lethal weapon" Murtaugh and Riggs. We bought a half brother of Murtaughs and we are picking up in August. His name will be Riggs Ferguson Hand. "Lethal Weapon". I love your channel. Thanks

We’re picking up our 8 week old chocolate spaniel next weekend and we’ve named her Mizzy. My partners family lab passed away not long ago and his tennis ball was called a Mizzer which inspired the name!

We are getting our two cocker spaniel boys on Saturday, Mac because we all love the name and our previous dogs name was Max. Didn’t want to call him the same as they will be different personalities. We named our girl Amaya. This was the name we originally had when we found out we was having our 2nd child if it was a girl. After the scan we found out we was having a boy, before leaving the hospital my wife firmly blurted out we was going to have another child. 5yrs later and our son has done his job to put my wife off having any more children thankfully. 10yrs I've been waiting for a dog, she finally said yes. We haven't got our puppy yet but she's a beauty, golden/red and 6 weeks old and we collect her in just under 3 weeks.

We named our cocker spaniel Hiccup because we went to a BBQ and the game keeper had him for sale so we got him and it was a bit unexpected so we called him hiccup

Happy Jack's name kind of evolved. Before he came home, I was thinking of what to name "my dog." "Jack, my dog...a phrase from The Band's The Weight came to mind. I thought about Jonathan being King David's best friend and how "Jack" would be a fun step down from the formal, as it was my intention for Jack to be my best friend. When he came home, in no time it was apparent that Jack was a very happy dog. My friend said he reminded him of the song Happy Jack by the Who. Thus the name Happy Jack was sealed. I call him Jack mostly. Jack is an American Cocker who's grandpa is a Lab. He is an awesome animal worthy of greater things than this old girl can give him, but we hike, and he took his first real swim in the Hudson River today. He is also quite the avid butterfly hunter! 🙃 I love my dog! 💖

I had several names. I wanted to call my cocker spaniel but couldn’t decide, so because I like country and western music a certain artist sang about his farm and he couldn’t sell it because his best friend was buried there which was his dog and he called his dog Bo, So that’s what I call my cocker spaniel and it’s not because I like the Dukes of Hazzard LOL…😮 a little fact for you, did you know that they call Cocker and Springer spaniels Bird dogs in some parts of America, for obvious reasons LOL

Could I ask about the best toys to buy for a pup, to keep them busy l but not to introduce any bad habits. Assume squeaky toys and tug ropes are a bad idea! Anything you can recommend for them? Thank you

@@ryandowd2259 unfortunately toys are bad habits it's more about having a really really good crate routine at the beginning so you don't overstimulate your dog therefore leading it to it biting and then you giving things to try entertainment which are then derogatory towards retrieving hope that makes sense ☺️

It's does, so natural chews etc are also unnecessary if you get the right balance of training , fun play and rest/sleep in the crate? Thank you Chris, really helpful episode's on puppy training 👏🏻 👍🏻
