Can a IPad be used with Rouvy? Thinking of trying it out. Level 65 on Zwift on iPad now. Computer hook up is a pain.

Hi Steve, thanks for checking the vids out. Yes Ipads are compatible, as well as WIndows PC, Mac, Android, IOS, and Apple TV. Try out the 14 day free trial.

Can you change the camera angle? I just think it is a strange angle. For example the camera angle on Zwift you can see everything a lot better

Hi Daniel, yes you can to a degree on the standard routes AR routes. On Rouvy it is called camera distance so you have: Me, Near, Middle , Far. This just changes the position of the rider out in front , or eliminates the avatar so have your POV. There is also something called Omni-mode, which gives you almost full control of the camera. I believe these are shot with like 360 cameras so there is a lot more work involved with them. Hope that helps

Are the stutters in the video because of the recording or is Rouvy stuttery?
@insidecyclingworld Жыл бұрын
Hey thanks for dropping in. The video stutter that you may see in places is probably mostly my recording. I recorded very low quality and further compressed to upload. Having said that, stutters may occur based on the speed that the video was captured at relative to the riders speed. If you video was captured at high speed then it will slow down to the riders speed at playback. Hope that helps.

@@insidecyclingworld it does help thanks. I have a Stages SB20 coming on Thursday and am trying to decide between Rouvy and Zwift right now.

Hey do a trial of both, I think Rouvy offers 2 weeks. They are very the same but also very different. Rouvy has way more real world locations to ride, so if you want to ride all of the most epic climbs you will find them on Rouvy. Done both Zwift and Rouvy, but Rouvy is my thing,Try both see what works best for you@@skydvdan

@@insidecyclingworld I purchased the SB20 for Rouvy but a friend said to give Zwift a try. I was just curious of your opinion. Bike shows up tomorrow though!!!!

If I were you I would do a trial on both, I believe both offer a 1-2 week free trial. I have ridden many of the platforms including Zwift, Rouvy, RGT, Bkool, World Grand Tours. They are either graphics, videos or a combo of both like Rouvy using Augmented reality. I really enjoyed Zwift but found after over 3 years I was just riding in the same place repeatedly, in the sense that not all the worlds are available everyday, there were some worlds that I did not like riding at all. Rouvy let's me choose any of the routes or climbs at anytime, no restrictions. I love Professional cycling, and love watching the climbs. Even though Zwift has the Ventoux and Alp d'Huez, that's just not enough for me. Rouvy hasfar has many more of the epic climbs(Ventoux, Alp d'Huez, Zoncolan, Stelvio, Angliru, Tourmalet, Galibier, Gavia, ........it just goes on and on) that you will see at the Giro, the Tour de France and the Vuelta. That's the kind of things that I want to ride. Plus they have the huge climbs you can find in Hawaii, Mt Lemmon so much to do. Both are good, Zwift is more social with a massive online population. Rouvy has more routes, more places to see., more niche but still with very strong cyclists. But honestly I feel you should just trial both of them, use one for awhile and then switch to another. Hope that helps a bit, sorry for the wall of text!!!@@skydvdan
