Hey Ray, I have a local Lawn care business that ive started. I am currently paying someone off of fiver to make me a wordpress website. do you recommend that I keep it hosted on WordPress because it will be faster load speed and better for SEO, or does it really not matter that much if I migrate it to GHL. I was also curious as to if i would be able to get my calendar onto wordpress, ive gone through several videos and saw that you can add a calendar if you embed its code, however my calendar in GHL has a post scheduling form connected to it, so you have to fill out the form after youve selected a time in order to book the quote. if i embed the calendar, will the form follow. if not is there a way i can do that in word press that sends all the information back to GHL and creates an opportunity there. Sorry if i am asking simple questions, im really new to this. Thanks in advance!!

Congrats on starting a business. Foir your business a GHL would work just fine. Wordpress would work as well but would be overkill. You just need to give information to your website visitor and with GHL the calendar, forms, chat widget integrate seamlessly. If you do use the ermbed code for calendar then yes the form will appear as well as long as that form has been selected inside the calendar to use for scheduling.

Not unless they needed Woirdpress features for something you were building on their website. GHL site should work great for them.

Hi Ray, thanks so much for showing what this actually looks like and your details. HL's guides were so short, so your video has really helped me. I have an existing website hosted by Bluehost that I'm considering migrating into HL's website hosting, and also adding the domain I'm currently using. Once I migrate it, and I change the DNS records to point to the website that's now hosted in HL, do I have to "do" anything with the old website in Bluehost? Does it cease existing (since I've taken away its domain) or do I need to delete it?

The site stays there but not accessed because dns points to GHL. You can just cancel your account at bluehost.

Hi Ray, Do you have a video covering the DNS settings? I'm running into errors with the CNAME pointing to the www version of the site. I get a Cloudflare error or an error with the a domain inting to a non secure version of the site. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hey Ray do is GHL features enough to give my website a good SEO ranking score. What features within GHL can actually allow me to see my SEO score for my website pages and blogs. Can you intergrate tools like Rank Math which can help you see where to optimize next to improve your GHL website SEO?

GHL provides you the tools to do seo but do4es not track it. To do so you will need another external tool to see your website ranking. If you are using wordpress there are plugins like JetPack and RankMath that can help you get better seo scores. Good luck.

If you use a Wordpress site then would you not be able to incorporate forms? I have it set up in ghl to whenever a client fills out a form they are added to the contacts and a new opportunity is created. Would I still be able to do that using Wordpress?

Absolutely. Instead of using the form element in the website builder, use the embed code for WordPress and other site builders. Once you do you can change the form inside of GHL and never have to update the embed code on your site. I use it on my WordPress site check it out rayodaniel.com/work-with-me/.

I’m a little confused. Isn’t HL a replacement for WordPress? Why would you want to use them together? What info would you put in HL and what would you put in WP?

Ryan thank you for the comment. HL can replace a Wordpress website in its functionality but not necessarily in all its features because of the plugin capability of Wordpress. HL team understood this and incorporated WordPress into HL so you don't have to access another system to administer it. So if you have a client with an existing WordPress site you can migrate it into HL for instance while you migrate it over to HL.

Thanks Cheryl for your comment. There is a multipart answer. Yes you can use LeadConnector plugin to connect Wordpress to HL. The advantage for hosting in HL is 1. No Need to login to external third party with additional username and password. 2. The client will most likely save money each month on hosting fees since HL gets such a great deal on the WP hosting. @@CherylSmith Yes you still have full theme support a well as plugin support. You get access to WP dashboard and its accessible through the Marketing Menu within HL. This makes it so much easier for agencies to support the client since users have access to the WP installation by having access to the sub-account. This makes support a lot easier.

Thank you for your comment. If you setup Wordpress in GHL its hosting by GHL. There is a plugin All In One WP Migration I believe that will import the existing Wordpress database into GHL reproducing it. Once this is done you can change the domain over to GHL and apply to Wordpress site and access like any other Wordpress site. Hope that helps.
