His name is Elwyn McQuilkin and he’s still active in politics, later joining the National Democratic Congress, a social democratic party in Grenada founded after the revolution. He was appointed envoy of Grenada to Trinidad and Tobago just a few months ago.

This song slaps, but this line of critique against the UN doesn’t really make sense. What do they want the UN to do, declare war on the US? They are an international mediating body, and they do their best but they can’t just do whatever they want and have extremely limited powers. The solution is slowly devolving them more power and jurisdiction, not just abandoning international diplomacy. Like personally, I’m thankful there’s at least a body representing mankind that formally denounces evil even if it doesn’t do anything. It’s better to recognize a problem and fail to solve it then to hear silence.
