Hi Ladi, i made mazipan but it was a bit hard i added rose water to soften it i think i put extra rose water so now it is sticky. Now what can I do about it
@GetCookingNow19 күн бұрын
Emy, Here are two ways to fix the sticky Marzipan issue: 1. Gradually add Cashew nut powder or powdered sugar to the mixture, kneading it until the desired consistency is achieved. This will help absorb the excess moisture. 2. Refrigerate the Mazipan: Chill the mazipan in the refrigerator for a short while. This will help firm it up and make it less sticky. Try this out & I'm sure the Marzipan will turn out great. Next time add the Rose water little at a time 🙂
@emymonteiro588119 күн бұрын
@GetCookingNow Ladi thanks for your prompt reply. I have already kept the mazipan paste in the fridge. God bless you and your family. Good Night

Greetings from Malaysia! A very Blessed Christmas to You. May your Christmas be as sweet and special as the recipes you share. How do you store this marzipan? How long will it last? Can this Marzipan be used to cover a Christmas Fruit Cake / Plum Cake? Thank you.
@GetCookingNowАй бұрын
EdmondMariaDas, Thank you so much for your lovely comment and Christmas wishes. You can store these Marzipans in the refrigerator for even a month, but its better if you eat them sooner than later. The Marzipan you use on Christmas cakes are traditionally made with Almonds. Secondly the dough is not cooked. Also you need to add egg white and castor sugar while making Marzipan to cover the Christmas cake which we do not use in our recipe. So the recipe is actually different if you want to make Marzipan for Christmas cake 🙂
@edmondmariadas6479Ай бұрын
@@GetCookingNow Thanks for your prompt reply. How long would it last if the Marzipans were left out (unrefrigerated)?
@GetCookingNow18 күн бұрын
EdmondMariaDas, they would last only for a couple of days if kept at room temperature. Best to keep them in the refrigerator 🙂 Do also check out our Christmas Sweets Playlist 👇: kzbin.info/aero/PLjXg79Llo3rpprx7R2mXrOZYIj4HhUgVz

What kind of pan is it? Aluminum? Steel? Can non stick do🧐
@GetCookingNowАй бұрын
Daphne, We have used a thick bottom steel pan. But you can also use a non-stick pan. It will be easier to make the Marzipan in a non-stick pan as the contents will not easily stick or burn in the pan 🙂

Any substitute for egg white???
@GetCookingNow Жыл бұрын
DrJagdishGohil, egg white is used in this recipe as a binder, we haven't tried this recipe without egg white. But adding a little water instead of egg white may be an option. But you will not get the same consistency dough as compared to using the egg white. However there are no cook recipes for Marzipan which do not use egg white. We may have that recipe next year.
