Introduction
Keema Goli Biryani or as you may call it Goli Bhaat is a popular Maharashtrian mutton biryani dish that is prepared by layering up biryani and mutton pieces. Mutton pieces are minced into meatballs and then added to the rice. The aroma of the spices added to the biryani is what makes it so appetizing and flavorful. It's perfect for a feast and will leave your guests stunned by its taste. Do try making this delectable biryani at your home and let us know if it really made your day.
Keema Goli Briyani Ingredients -
Making of Meat Balls
1 kg Minced Meat
1½ tbsp Garlic Paste
1½ tbsp Ginger Paste
½ cup Coriander Leaves (chopped)
3 tbsp Kolhapuri Masala
2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
Salt (as per taste)
1 cup Oil (for frying)
Making of the Biryani
3-4 tbsp Oil
2 Bay Leaves
2 Star Anise
6 Green Cardamoms
6 Cloves
10 Black Peppercorns
2-inch Cinnamon Stick
2 Onions (sliced)
1½ tbsp Garlic Paste
1½ tbsp Ginger Paste
2 tbsp Kolhapuri Masala
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
600 gms Basmati Rice (soaked)
1 litre Mutton Stock
1 cup Coconut Milk
Salt (as per taste)
Coriander Leaves (chopped)
For Garnish -
Coriander Leaves (chopped)
Basic garam masala for Kolhapuri Masala
20 dry Lavangi Chillies or any other spicy variety
10 Bedgi chillies
2 tbsp Coriander seeds
10 Cloves
2” Cinnamon stick
15 Peppercorns
1 tsp Black Cumin Seeds
3 Black Cardamom Pods
6-7 Green Cardamom Pods
2 Mace
2 Star anise
10 Nagkesar
10 Triphal (Sichuan pepper)
5 Bay Leaves
1/4 Nutmeg
1 tbsp Poppy Seeds
A piece of Stone flower
1 tbsp Aniseeds
1 tbsp Sesame seeds
1 tbsp Cumin seeds
1 tsp Fenugreek seeds
1/2 tsp Dry ginger powder
Roast all the above in oil on a low flame till the spices release an aroma and then cool it and powder it

Didi I am gonna sure make it....you are unique !!! In my hometown in Bengal one hotel used to sell 'goli kebab' , round shape deep fried chicken/lamb meat balls as starter as well as semi gravy....with a beet root paratha....sometime raita/green mango pickle to add....you mesmerized me ...if possible pls make a video on that unique combo also .. So I can relive my memories .and others will taste that...😍😍

I made this recipe and it was delicious but my wife thought it was too hot. I used kashmir chili powder, is there a chili powder that isn't as spicy or can I use some sort of yogurt to cool it down for my wife?

kashmir chili powder isnt pungent, its only meant for that bright red colour, Instead u can reduce the amount of kolhapuri masala and pepper corns. U can throw in some raisins n cashew to balance the heat if it still exists .

Looks like an amazing recipe........but most important you have included the recipe for the Kolhapuri Masala. I'm a great fan of of Indian food and recipes, and yet so often KZbinrs just say add Garam Masala .....and let's face it, Garam Masala can be so, so different, that it's almost pointless to say Garam Masala without giving the ingredients. I hope the producers will take note of this in future. Please note, his is a comment and not a criticism, made in the hope that you will make your excellent channel even better.

Here somes another recipe from the lady , OVER use of SPICES , OVER USE of Oil and Ghee.. OMG.. #getcurried , do you guys even audit how much your chefs are using Spices and Oil/Ghee in their recipes. Basic Question - Who eats that level of Spices and Oil in their daily food.

Hi Anukool, the Kolhapuri Cuisine generally has a lot of Oil and is spicy, so don't worry it'll only enhance the taste of the dish! Also what is Indian food without Ghee and Spice?

Completely agree, even the PULAO was not properly made, the rice kernels were soggy and al dente, unfortunately, nowadays everyone is a chef and everyone is claiming they are using their authentic styles, OVER using TONS of Spices blah blah!!! This recipe is gone wrong in so many levels, its a pity that probably this recipe had potential but the she ruined the recipe by not following simple cooking steps to make kofta or keema goli pulao, Pulao should be Pulao (Fluffy Rice kernels soaked all the juice from the meat) not Random mishmash OR Khichdi 😂🤣😃😎
