I’ve had this product for over three years and I like it. I have it setup just like you do in this video because I don’t want to have to move the rear tank very far to empty and refill. FYI, you don’t have to clean that waste water bucket every week, you just have to dump it before refilling it with more tap water or you will have to descale the machine, eventually. I know that RO wastes some water but it’s the best option I’ve found for conveniently removing the most bad stuff from my drinking water before I drink it. I also like that this machine makes enough water for me to dump into my ice making machine, blender and pots when I need a lot of water at once. The cons you listed are totally valid and I agree with them.

It's not without it's negatives with the AquaTru but I like it. Just switched from a Berkey. This design wastes a lot less water than an under the counter reverse osmosis system, which can literally waste 3 gallons for every 1 gallon of purified water! And, AquTru now makes a remineralization filter you can get for this.

I was looking at Berkey too, almost bought one. I saw a video on Aqua Tru--looked pretty good. Wow wasn't aware of all the "waste water" part. Glad I didn't get one. I got sold on "Zero Water"---comes w/ a meter. Yesterday I bought one at my local BJ's store. 23 cup counter model. Not too big and fits in the refrigerator no problem. As far as Zero water filter goes... My tap water was 57 tds and after filtration it was "zero". Easy set up. Easy screw on filter. It was running slow at first, it may be air bubbles. I soaked the filter in a bowl of water for half hour. Filters great now. I read that it's a good idea that the "Zero Water" be kept in the refrigerator, because the filter on the counter top could have bacterial growth. The unit was $39. I bought extra filters 3 for $39. Just starting out, but this Zero Water system seems pretty good so far. Thanks for your reviews... 5 Stars! --Van

Seemed louder than I expected. Has anyone else used this unit?

This is the 1st time seeing any of your videos. I watched the Berkey review which didn't allow comments, thus I'm commenting here. I had considered the Berkey, however, a family member got the Zero & loved it. I do as well. I Love ❤️ the taste of the water. To me, it is quite mellow & i want to drink & drink. I was gifted the lg glass sz, which is esthetically pleasing & i also have the sm pitcher, I use both. (they have a pitcher w/ bottom spout & top pour, family member owns, which is also nice). Like the Berkey, filters have to be changed quite often, but it is Not a hassle like Berkey. After seeing your review, i was so glad that i went w/ ZERO. i also own a travel lifestraw filter.
