I once saw @GetHighWithMike do a MASSIVE jump after which he came out to pick up some trash that was left on the beach. Then went back in for another epic launch. What a legend.

Man, i am sitting in Tarifa, one more work-meeting left. There is wind at Tumbao for my 9 XR6. Kiteloops are my next goal, i did about 200 at 2m height to get the brain to understand to never stop looping. These "Sent Jumps" are exactly the next stepping stone i was looking for. Thanks Mike for this Tutorial coming in at EXACTLY the right time :).

Very cool tip to train students building confidence. I never used this exercice with them but it makes total sense and therefore I will. I will alsogive it a shot for myself to improve my loop board off. Thx for the tip !

Thiago Martins My next step bru! I finally dialed those heliloops with a normal jump, now I am gonna throw them sending. Question: when you send forward, should the heliloop necessarily been done with the back hand? Or depends of the height (Jump-send- swing under-heli front hand if time allows)?
@gethighwithmike3 жыл бұрын
Epic brother! Can't wait to ride with you again in Brazil! Yes it should for sure be down with the back hand if you're sending it forward. When you send it forward, the kite will be slightly over to the side of your front hand, so in order for the loop to happen above your head, you need to pull it with the back hand

thanks Mike! great video as usual, isn't that working as well if you send the kite in the opposite direction that you've been jumping and land with a front hand heliloop?
@majcyy3 жыл бұрын
In principle it’s possible but I think you won’t cover as much distance. Unless you’re doing a transition where you kill your speed on approach, you will end up having some ground speed that you will work against if you send the kite towards your back hand

Great video Mike! My first sent jump resulted in bruised ribs so it's going to take a bit to get the confidence back to try it again! Lol! At 57 I don't heal as fast as I once did! Are you still in La Ventana? I've been kiting all winter in Baja and it's been awesome!

Great info Mike, it's going to take me some practice to get over my muscle memory of heli looping the other way from this. I'm guessing it's going to be sketchy practicing sent board offs like this as if you don't get your back hand on to the bar in time to correct the send you are going down full speed! Any advice with this?
@TKM113703 жыл бұрын
In the UK a big air rider has named them 'fast fowards' because you go fast... Forward. 😂😊😉

@johnnykhawand3 жыл бұрын
Wait what? I thought the Heli Loop you do it by bringing the kite opposite the side you are traveling then loop it with the front hand. Do both work? or what you demonstrated in the video is the only way?
@gethighwithmike3 жыл бұрын
A heli loop is a front OR back handed loop that happens above your head :) There's no textbook on this, but that's the way my mates and I look at it
