I've been to the Catacombs 5 times in the "restricted" area. I usually take my out of town photographer friends when they visit. Every time I went it was with 4-5 people. But the LAST time (the fifth time)...I went alone to retrieve a camera gear I had accidently left in one of the tunnels. When you're by yourself it's a whole different story. Usually with friends, people are talking and you're having fun. But when I was alone, I kept hearing footsteps follow me around. I thought it was an echo of my own footsteps so at one point, I turned off my flashlight, turned a corner and stood in silence to see. And sure enough, I hear feet shuffling. It was the most terrifying experience.

Scarlett didn't get any of them killed. They died because they refused to repent for their sins. For example, Papillon said "it wasn't my fault" and refused to repent, so he was punished.
@thebat735Ай бұрын
Benji was an absentee father (hence the baby crying we can hear leading up to his death, and the spooky cult lady holding a baby when she makes him fall) and Souxie was guilty about never going to look for La Taupe when he went missing. They were all punished by their own unrepented sins.

Also there are many many areas run by crime, there are people who believe in the occult there are also killers down there, they all have their own territories which is why its vital to explore with theze types of non official tours. People who know whos territory is where and where is safe.

I love found footage but I never cared for this film, however, I think it’s pretty good for reactions. There is so much in this film that is promising but I never really feel like it pays off. There’s so much silliness, and especially the characters are pretty unlikable. The issue w/ the found footage style has everything to do with the “caves” because they got permission to shoot in the actual catacombs and I think the fact they wouldn’t be hauling in and out a bunch of equipment if they did it that way. Found Footage did not start with Blair Witch Project, (which I got to see in the theater for the first time and absolutely loved it.) I would also recommend checking out Bobcat Goldthwait’s film Willow Creek (2013.) The Found Footage genre goes back at least as far as Cannibal Holocaust (1980.) Both Cannibal Holocaust & The Blair Witch Project were marketed as being real and both managed to successfully trick a lot of people into believing that-BLAIR witch, when the actors came out to do PR & Cannibal Holocaust, after the director was accused of the actors’ murders and had to prove they were alive and that the special effects were just that. I always recommend REC (2007;) Cloverfield (2008;) & Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum (2018.) And most, if not all, of the V/H/S films are Found Footage, starting with V/H/S (2012.)
