This is it, then they wonder why wholesale changes are so crippling. Elite teams only need small changes from year to year and that’s he position the suns were in. And the new owner came in and took that position for granted. We have no draft picks either. I would trade everybody for picks and start rebuilding ASAP
@PT8415 күн бұрын
This is not on the GM. This is all new owner syndrome. The GM did a great job of drafting that core of Booker, CP3, Ayton, Cam Johnson, Bridges. The new owner came in and said I want the sexiest best players and now the franchise is doomed. Stuck in the 2nd apron which punishes them unless its to shed salary. No 1st round picks until 2031. Have the worst contract in the NBA for 3 more seasons with Beal, NTC prevents him from being moved. KD is a FA after next season, so the Suns need to deal him to the Rockets for their own 1st round picks back.

There's no leader in the team. KD aint one, DB sure aint one and neither is Beal. It's not just about superstars, you have to know how to make them work together
@princellasmith756215 күн бұрын
Yes, and this is why KD has now been a part of two failed super teams. You need leadership. He’s a talented player, but he needs leaders in order to flourish. He flourished with Golden State not just because of talent but because of Curry’s leadership. And as irritating as Draymond is, he also floor and locker room leader because he’s a very knowledgeable X’s and O’s guy. He can read the floor and help his teammates know how to adjust on defense and offense. KD does some of that, but that’s not his strength. He just wants to play ball.
@FrankThe77Tank15 күн бұрын
Beal is making over $50 million thru 2027 to be completely useless & barely play. They have 3 guys that need the ball & do the same things. They had their star in Booker. If you’re gonna put together a super team, it should’ve been with a star PG & star Center to help Book!

A team that was doing great, had big players they had drafted and couldn’t resist trying to play mercenary ball. I HATE the modern NBA mentality of overpaying for names that produced in other systems. They don’t ever even give a passing thought to team chemistry or if they even like playing together. I’m from Detroit but live in Phoenix. Being frustrated with guys who are drafted as Pistons is way more fun if/ when success comes. They actually have draft picks left this decade, too. Who do I like most on the Suns? Two guys they drafted. TLDR I like drafting success and hate mercenary ball.

It is very easy to predict if a "big 3" or "superteam" is going to work. Look at the ones that worked and those that didn't. Successful big 3s: MJ's Bulls, Timmy's Spurs, KG's Celtics, LeBron's Heat, Steph's Warriors What do they have in common? 1. A definitive leader/Alpha who sets the emotional/psychological tone; they all buy into their roles 2. at least one "glue guy" who will do whatever is necessary to win and doesn't care about personal glory 3. differential skill sets 4. Brought together by choice or organically Unsuccessful big 3s The Kobe/Nash/Dwight Lakers, "The Process" Sixers, KD's Nets, KD's Suns, Kawhi's Clippers What do they have in common? 1. Who is the alpha/leader? There is some disconnect between where they all are psychologically 2. Injury and or commitment concerns from more than one player 3. Overlapping skill sets, at least two of the players are basically the same player 4. Brought together through duplicity or sacrificing the team's future

As a suns fan… trading for KD was the beginning of the end. Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson “the twins” were loved in Phoenix and were the high level role players that had come into their own and their ascension made the suns contenders along with the arrival of CP3. We gave up an organically built YOUNG core to ring chase and that was the problem. I would have rather kept the core intact and contended for the next 10 years with the hopes they would have broken through once or twice for a championship (hopefully)… microwave championships is not a recipe for success in Phoenix. It’s like one bad move after another, Ishbia really made quite the splash haha! Should’ve never traded Paul, I think the Durant move actually made sense, but dude doesn’t belong in a role of dictating the teams around him cause he can’t come up with team building to save his life and seeing how this has happened to him on countless occasions now, and knowing this is now a players league, KD definitely had a say. Should’ve also moved Deandre Ayton for Myles Turner when they had the chance. Never should’ve fired Monty Williams either. I think a Monty Williams coached Suns with a starting lineup of Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Myles Turner would be insane and I think even today would have a real shot at the finals. I think now they should just blow it up, doesn’t make sense for a team to stay on with that many stars that don’t mesh and may not even make the playin while costing them so much!

Time to admit it...KD, Book and Beal are all #2's (Robin, not Batman). Heck they might be #3's at this point in their careers. Neither is a leader who affects another part of the game other than scoring. Oh yeah they are all soft Asf too.

If you look at it closely the trade for Bradley Beal wasn't nearly as damaging as the trade for Kevin Durant. The Suns didn't give up any first-round picks to get Bradley Beal though they did give up multiple pick swaps. Still those things probably won't matter for a while because the Wizards aren't going to be better than the sun's for a long time. Well actually that may not be true. Lol. What is really damaging is when you put the Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal trades together and look at all of the draft assets that are now unattainable. They basically have no draft picks whatsoever so I don't know how they're going to be able to rebuild unless they tried to get their draft capital back by trading Kevin Durant now. I think they could still probably get three first-round draft picks back but I don't know what team it would be that would take on that deal. I think some teams would though. This team is going to be a complete and total disaster within a year or two. Also I don't know how they're going to be able to get Bradley Beal to agree to a trade and if they don't do that then they have nothing available to them this season.

FYI. KZbin's algorithm removes the need for me to subscribe since it recommends videos that I would normally watch anyway.

I love KD and he is top 20 all time in my view (arguably higher)… so why do front office/owners think they need to partner him with multiple star players? Nets - didn’t work Suns - hasn’t worked yet Why not maybe a really good player (like booker!) and then a solid team. Beal is also a favourite of mine but one thing that these so called super teams should have taught people is that taking players who are top scorers in individual teams ie say circa 30 ppg and joining three of them does not equal 90ppg… Bucks are finding this too with Damien (though now starting to work fingers crossed). So yes harden , kyrie and kd all potential 30 ppg, Beal , booker and kd also… but that doesn’t equate to 90ppg!! In any team building you want the sum to be greater than the parts… pairing together super stars (more than 2) is very difficult to make work as the reason those super stars are super stars is because they are the lead player in a team. The standard of the league is so high and with the three point revolution - whilst it doesn’t sound sexy you got to be able to get stops. There are going to be nights where your super star/s can’t all get 30ppg even in this day when games are often 120 ish . MJ was a freak athlete (and hands down the GOAT though massive respect to le bron who brings a different game)- and until recently he led games with 30pts plus. Over wilt, Karim , Karl etc That’s a tough line ! So don’t pair 3 high scorers and expect that production ! Most punters would have said it was going to be tough to make it work even before the new CBA… amazing that front office got it so wrong. That all said - I would actually love it if it worked ! To see the likes of booker and Beal and kd winning would be great Though personally would love a repeat when the bucks beat them in the final ;)

Suns Ruined their Future 😂

Matt Ishbia ruined this team, suns fans saw it coming, no one was excited for Beal and the Nurk trade was horrific, we have no choice but to sorrily try to be mediocre for the next 5 years unless we full rebuild which this clown won’t
