Getrag v160 6 speed gearbox finally back from NeatGearboxes fixed by the professionals

box is back guys neat gearboxes went through it found issues and repaired them box was sand blasted to take the rattle can paint off a 5 year old had done a replacement counter shaft bearing was sourced as the original was put on back wards and 5th/6th gear shift sleeve was installed the right way around and the gear set was shot peened and superfinished this has been a long venture one company i delt with i should never had delt with they caused more damage time and money then any one should go through but any way lets move on gear box is now lovely clutch needs a refresh dose not slip but may have a warped pressure plate leading to a dragging clutch between shifts ill get this sorted but what a surprise when i went to start the supra and had no fuel pump lol nylon lock nuts are not a great idea for a electrical connection they cause a a poor connection and poor connections lead to heat nylon melts breaking connections between conductive surfaces was a lesson learnt from my younger dumber self lol

I had my V160 rebuilt by Jack's transmissions about 6 years ago, I had to source all the synchro's/countershaft/sleeve's/seals off the black market which was more than the actual transmission service, since I had all the parts they ended up doing mine quickly while the other V160's sat and waited for parts. all in I spent just over $5500 ($2600 for the stage 2 rebuild) not including shipping
