I have to say I’ve developed a Pavlovian response to Thomas’s “welcome to get sleepy where we listen we relax and we get sleepy……” I instantly yawn 😂😊 my brain already knows it’s bedtime. Thank you so much for helping me sleep, I don’t suffer from severe insomnia anymore ❤

Get Sleepy is the best title for this program because it’s a very easy response to elicit once we’ve all been inducted 😊

I had no idea the history of deck chairs could be so enthralling! I used many a lounge chair at the beach back in the day, in the 80’s. Those were the days, blasting our stereo with 4ft tall speakers into the entire private-ish beach in our backyards. Making the best damn pina coladas (tyvm) for our entire block while everyone experimented with multi-colored zinc oxide for that trendy war-paint look 😂

What a beautiful voice. So is Jessica's. I think that's her name. I need somebody else talking softly so I can quit my endless loop of thinking and go to sleep. That was the purpose of the bedtime stories for children, and it also works on adults. Thank you, Thomas.

@paulahillier1390 Жыл бұрын
A.D. is not "after death" but "Anno Domini" meaning "In the year of our Lord" in Latin. BCE is "Before common Era" but ironically the years are still measured by Christ's birth....but it's not seen as scientific enough. 🤷♀️

I liked when you guys first started this channel but now all of your meditations are about learning it's hard to relax when we're trying to listen and we're learning about something that you're talking about like a lawn chair. I'm disappointed that you guys went down this route when we're trying to relax our mind but its instead a teaching moment during a meditation. I've been meditating for a long time and you can't sit there and relax your mind when you're actually listening to what's supposed to be a meditation but you're having to learn about something
@user-zp6ev5ts3y Жыл бұрын
Maybe it’s just that this style of content isn’t for you? I actually really like stories about real historical events or the history of things because it makes my mind have something to focus on since I can’t get into the meditative state that easily, I need a story to follow or something interesting rather than a “breath in breath out” type of thing. I’ve been listening to their podcast before they had a KZbin channel and I don’t want them to shift from that unique content (actually I’d love for them to make more “educational” stories!) there’s a lot of other meditation stories out there, to each their own ❤

Some stories like this are actually supposed to be boring and send you to sleep. There is one who reads from the encyclopaedia and the dictionary e.c.t.
