Could two more reverse lights be added by just connecting the blacks to black and white to white? So two further up to shine at an angle for the sides of the boat? Where I go it's nice to see where my truck tires are going too so I don't slide off a cliff haha.

So I called and got the amp draw spec from the Rooster Tail lights. He said they were almost 2 amps per light. This would obviously make the amp draw from the pair almost 4 amps. Do you have any issues running this straight with no relay? 4 amps just from those lights is quite a bit for that circuit. Assuming that the ONLY other load on that circuit is the backup lights in the vehicle lighting, I would think it would be fine. Just don't want to be popping fuses. I'm installing on a Tracker Pro 170 trailer and pulling with a 2023 Silverado. I guess GM has over complicated the trailer wiring and tied the BCM into it. It supposedly monitors the voltage and current draw on the trailer light system and will cut the trailer lights off if it's too much. Can anyone confirm this? Now I don't know what to do. Lol

The "over 80" light is NOT a brake light. It only has one intensity and it indicates the width of the load on the trailer...

Just ordered the gear to do this to my trailer and following your LED installation, that will come next. The video was excellent and especially the explanation of going from an SAE to RV 7-way. I faced this just a couple of weeks back and did not even know where were different options, so I removed the 7-way and put on a 4-way. Luckily, the 7-way can be disassembled, so when I get the reverse light parts in, I can put it back on. Thanks a million for this howto!!!
