It is a Mustang II, 8 inch rear with 3:55 gears. With a T5 it cruises nicely in overdrive. A 4: 11 Will be nice for racing but it's going to scream on the freeway

Yes it will cruise goodon the freewayand i bet its super fun to drive buzzing around all of those new cars, i looked for a 8" but couldn't find one then when I bought the 8.8 they started popping up everywhere, im going to run 4.10 in mine, it's a really fun gear with a 5 speed t5 im running as well, really good transmission's, i have a extra t5 as well , for back up i guess 😁 im thinking that it was behind a 2.3 from the factory but i got it off of Ebay and the tag is missing so i really can't look it up and see what it is

My SCCA autocross prepared class 1974 Pinto sedan uses a Mustang II 8" rear with 4.62 gears and a Quaife racing 4 speed. Works well with an 8000 rpm rev limit on built n/a 2.3.

What size rear are you going with and what size is that one? Im putting a cut down 8.8 in mine with 2 passenger side explorer axles with 4.10 gears
