Hey Girly! I just wanna say i mean NO disrespect by this comment cuz i seriously love you and your channel. As a naturally curly girl i just thought id tell you that although your hair is beautiful its obvious it REALLY needs a break from heat styling. you can tell your hair is being strained by how it looks when its in its natural state. Maybe try going natural with no heat styling for a few months and see where it takes you, you might be able to get your natural curl pattern back. all love ❤

That is true, an for me I stopped getting relaxers an just conditioned my hair really well an my curl pattern came back like in little to 3 years. I only silk-press my hair in the winter bc of the humidity in my city.

When you're blowdrying the hair some smoke come to your face this is why she wears a mask. I do it myself but I prefer just use a ventilator. I have being doing this blowout for the past 10 years and my exams are all okay. Formaldehyde is bad, some salons still used but there's other chemicals approved that can be used. Formal is forbidden is salons here in Brazil.

This hairstylist is not doing all of the steps of a proper Brazilian blowout. The hair is supposed to be washed after the first blow dry and iron out, and then styled again. The client should not be leaving with chemicals in the hair and should be able to put their hair in s clip or ponytail directly after leaving the salon if they choose to.

There is formaldehyde in this formula. Recently here in Brazil, the ANVISA (national sanitary vigilance agency) tested all the products that claims not to use formaldehyde in their formula and concluded all of them contains a certain amount of it. At the ingredients list of the product, the formaldehyde goes by a different name and formula, that is activeted with heat. ANVISA claims there are no treatments to strainghten hair without formaldehyde in the market. So, take care and don't use it a lot, ok? If possible, try to not do the treatment at all.

hello! I'm from Brazil and here this is called Escova Progressiva. The hair normally gets superstraight... maybe they use less chemicals in your country. i've been doing this for at least 15 years!

Hi Amy 👋 I have naturally curly hair very similar to yours and I really appreciate this video. I don't know if I will ever get a brazilian since my hair is super easy to blow dry straight but I like that you did an update afterward to show what it looked like air dried and in humidity. From watching this and your natural curly hair routine I realized that we have very similar hair types! I also had pieces in the front that lost their curl from over- heat styling HOWEVER I switched to the Paul Mitchell Moisture Shampoo and Paul Mitchell Strengthening Conditioner and I swear my curl pattern returned within like a month of washing once a week! I would definitely recommend investing in it because it gave me back my curls that I had when I was little (:

Brazilian Blowout and Keratin are different. They are often incorrectly used interchangeably, resulting in the incorrect treatment being applied and very incorrect information floating around like not being able to wash your hair after a Brazilian Blowout. Change your title.

I don't think I would get the Brazilian Blowout ever again. And I will tell you why... The process didn't take long at all but my stylist didn't do the third step which consists of washing hair with a deep conditioner after it was blow dryed and flat ironed at 450° F... She did do steps #1 which was clarify/wash #2 then apply Brazilian Blowout solution then she blow dried and flat ironed that was it. The thing that I thought was odd is that if they provide the service at a salon wouldn't you think that they would sell the Aftercare product at the store?? I had asked one of the receptionist there why they didn't and she had told me that she didn't have enough clients doing the Brazilian Blowout. So in order for me to get the aftercare.. Anti-frizz Acai shampoo and conditioner, the serum and the deep conditioning mask my stylist had to get it from a supply store that she gets all of her products from. I had to wait about a week after to even do my first wash. 😬😬😬 I was so excited to wash it and see what the after results would be like ..."no frizz, less drying time and styling time." I had high expectations for what I spent to get rid of all the frizz. In total I spent $300. $150 for the Blowout, $25 added Olaplex, plus the Tip. $100 for Aftercare products . After I washed it for the first time I didn't see a dramatic difference. Not enough to WOW me. Some frizz was gone but not a whole lot. I have thick hair and some of it was still wet the next morning. Which the company states that it will be less drying/styling time. I understand that everyone's hair is different when performing the Brazilian Blowout and results may vary but I've watched countless KZbin videos and reviews online of people with the same hair type as mine and they had fine results some did not. The majority of them were good that's when I decided to do it and give it a go. I have to mention I do have very thick, long hair with some wave. I also have a lot of different textures/frizz in some spots in my hair... and some areas are smooth. During the process I was asking a lot of questions to gain knowledge to my stylist as well and she seemed to know what she was doing. Was told... her clients love the results. Maybe it was counterfeit product? That's why she didn't do the final wash because I probably would have noticed and said "I don't see that much of a difference" 😬 Has anyone ever heard of this happening to them at a salon? Don't waste your money!!!!

That's like saying you've got a counterfeit deep conditioning treatment, there's no such thing. Deep conditioning is the name for the treatment and many different companies make it

I get Brazilian's all the time. I am 49 and my hair is so curly I don't even know how to explain it. I get them and it cuts my styling time in half in the morning. I am so glad you mentioned how long to wait to wash the hair because my stylist does tell me 2 days, but I see other places say 8 hours and others say 3 days. Did I hear right that you wet your hair and then skip shampoo, use conditioner only, then the next day you can go on to regular routine? Thank you for the video.

That’s not a Brazilian Blowout! That’s a Keratin Treatment. With Brazilian Blowout you don’t have to wait to wash your hair and the stylist rinses the treatment out and styles it. I wish people. Would just get the facts straight.

Jess P I do them All the time and follow the companies direction. It is supposed to be rinsed out with water not washed out and then the bonding spray is applied and styled. No wait time at all! You can go swim after

I live in GA so what's something I could do better to help my hair with the humidity rather than a Brazilian blowout. I have never had one. I usually use the blow dryer to get my hair perfectly straight instead of wavy but it's super frizzy & then that or even when I straighten it the humidity just gets it! Also, another thing, even when my hair is in a pony tails or working out I get all the baby hair frizz and curly Q's

Casey Ellis trust me when I say let your hair do what it wants to do. Enhancing your hair’s natural state will save you so much time and headache and will save your hair. Since your hair is wavy I’d suggest looking up the curly girl meathod and looking for for deep conditioning products and humidity fighting gels (like the ouidad one).

I use Chi's Heat protector before I blow dry my hair. I spray it evenly then brush my hair through and blow dry it in sections with a round brush. If you want it really straight, than you blow dry your hair (round brush optional), then section the hair off, spray the heat protector and brush it through the section and than flat iron it. sorry for the long post TL;DR Chi Heat protector works amazing for thick and/or frizzy hair.
