My CBT is next week, I'm a bit nervous about controlling the bike at low speeds and stopping and pulling off again without stalling, I'm practicing on family land but I'm still getting to grips with it. Hopefully I'll be okay by next week 🤞

hi, I’m doing my cbt in a couple of weeks and I’m just wondering. Can I wear my own helmet? Do most motorcycle training centres have there own boots? Should I turn up in my normal clothes ie. my jeans and my jacket and my trainers?

Hi Cotty, If you have the gear to wear then great! If not, don't worry! Most training schools will have some spare gear for you to borrow on the day. Hope this helps and good luck!

You'll need a provisional licence in the UK

What happens if you don’t do the eye test very well ?

I would imagine they would speak to you regarding an eye test before attempting the CBT, you need to be able to see where your going and be able to spot any hazards as well as read road signs with plenty of time to react.

Just a CBT, renewed every two years, is all you need.

Hi. Your eyesight will be tested at some point. You don't want to be sent home because of that. Best wear your glasses.

Yes. So long as it's safety compliant and not some Chinese work on your head for a helmet etc.

Hi Csaba Szabo, You will need to have a provisional licence before you are allowed to go on a bike.

Don't panic but go and speak to the Instructor/training school. it might be worth booking an eye test just for peace of mind.
