There go my smile muscles again...!! Of course one needs stiletto's to fix a stiletto...!! But one must have those lovely legs to go with them or it just doesn't work. And yes those small battery powered chain saws are the cat's meow when it comes to doing limb work. I have two of them a 6 incher and a 10 incher and I really get a lot done with them. You guys do live in a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Hi Michelli, you will really love your new MSA-140 Stihl chainsaw, it will become your go to saw. I purchased an Greenworks 40V 16" brushless chainsaw back in 2017. It is fantastic, light and long lasting battery, carry it when Jeeping the backcountry and work around our property. My Stihl MS 270 Farm Boss, it's to heavy for me now. My little 16" brushless saw dropped twenty trees last year, 14" D and 40 to 80 ft tall, fir & pine trees. Keep up the great vids, my Sunday morning first vid with coffee to start the day. Stay well and safe.

I bought a stiletto finish hammer about 20 years ago. It was such an incredible hammer to use doing trim work that weighed absolutely nothing. I still haven’t even though I’m retired. I keep it exactly in the same place so I never lose it. I have to admit the stiletto heels were the perfect attire for working on your hammer handle replacement. I like leaving the patina on the boards. It fits the "rusticness" of the cabin better than a "new board" look would. At 75 ish I had had enough of "pulling strings" to start gas "appliances" so I got a battery lawn mower to do the trim work in the yard. I had an earlier experience with a Black and Decker string trimmer that was battery powered and it was dismal at best. But years had passed and the new battery tech is amazing. I wound up liking the mower so much I bought the string trimmer, blower, hedge trimmer and the chain saw. I love all of them. At 78 it's way better than killing the back starting those gas jobs lol! ❤❤
@michygoss7148
@michygoss7148 Жыл бұрын
I think there is such a stigma with battery chainsaws, and I avoided getting one for that very reason. 😅. But, the more people that get them, the more ‘cool’ they will be! (Although, admittedly I still love a gas chainsaw 😊)
@BirdYoumans
@BirdYoumans Жыл бұрын
@@michygoss7148 I think gas and battery will co exist for some time to come. If I was cutting a big tree, I'd want the gas too. But for clearing limbs and small stuff I love my battery "appliances". And the small stuff is all I have to deal with in my yard. I do have a small thicket of trees and saplings behind my house but I don't wish to take any of them down, just clear the limbs that fall so to speak.

Thank you Michelle for another entertaining and enjoyable video. You always have something in each video that amazes me, your skills, ability, and ambition are just a few. Or, being able to replace a hammer handle correctly, using a big chop saw, saw mill, Bobcat, and extremely safety and ergonomically conscience. Which your husband Steve should practice more often, but he's probably set in his ways. Luckily he has you around sometimes to keep an eye on his safety and ergonomic skills.

You are incredible, Love to have been able to find a woman with your attitude and outdoors, building and doing all. I spent much time in Upper Penn. of Mich. Have two Forestry degrees one in actually doing the logging, scaling, grading, cutting, skidding, and sawmill work. Surveying, and building things so I love what you do. At Michigan Tech also went back after the Air Force went back for Engineering degrees but I sure enjoyed my life in the woods. SO I love where you live and play. Steve is also a remarkable person with his boating adventures. I would have loved that but never was close enough or had the money to forge into sailing. Just awesome yes it takes a lot of figure it out and do it yourself when you are out miles from land. Love what you do and share. Bonjour Steve et Michelle. tiens, tiens, quelle vidéo. i so enjoy your vidéos. i'd like to share that i have a Stihl MSA 160 c electric saw. however, the motor died, 2 years and 6 months after purchase. please stay on top of the warranty and check your oil before each usage. i fell in love with Steve's work boots. the steel-toe portion was just the ticket whilst cutting the steel rails. his work pants are a testament to his work ethic: 'and that's how its done !' it's Sunday afternoon here. soon the Track and Field Championships in Budapest will resume. Congrats to the Canadian Decathlon gold and silver winners. i'm sure that you all are quite proud. what a view whilst camping in the mountains. you two live well, work hard and enjoy the fruit of your labour. have a super week.
