Hello you really explain it well....I have a question..I need to get a certificate but I don't want church wedding just attorney way with maybe witness and I get it.....is there other processes needed ....I think you did two weddings.....and with the attorney wedding will they also require to know about the church . Then you can go for the civil wedding. Same procedure upto the the interview session. After which, they will give you your wedding date which is officiated by the AG.

Only a certified pastor can sign a marriage certificate for a church wedding for a Christian. The only other person would be the AG in the case for a civil wedding.

The advantage of a civil marriage is that it's very cheap, money wise. There is no disadvantage since you can ways plan for a celebration with your friends maybe for dinner after the wedding

Hi Grace, in that case, go to the AG's website, the click on the registrar of marriage and do what is needed there. Ensure that you do this at least 2 months to when your partner will be in the country. Then you can opt to choose the day of the interview to the very first day of that month so that by the time they are leaving the country,the interview has taken place
