So happy that this helped! I had the same problems when I was a beginner so I’d thought I’d make the video I wish I’d seen haha! Also probably not only cause I made that song so long ago and the techniques are so outdated so it’d be hard for me to explain, I do things so differently now you know?

When you bounce down for mixing, do you bounce elements with time based effects like reverb/delay or do you bounce everything dry and then add that in the mixing stage?

Longlife. Of course! It depends on the sound I’m going for, but most times I use a normal reverb and make sure I’m low cutting and high cutting inside the reverb

Alenzo I lower my stems to -6 or -8 depending on how much room I need and take off any limiting or compression when I’m exporting
