When I was a kid I thought ring worm was an actual "worm" or parasite. I found out it was a fungus a few years ago. Still gross either way 🤢

This is exactly why we should always tell the hairdresser or barber to DISINFECT ALL THEIR TOOLS/INSTRUMENTS IN FRONT OF YOU. BY LAW, THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO.
@sexy_tanjiro88782 жыл бұрын
No they are not required by law. If you are not blind. They have usually have a big long glass with green alcohol infront of the table of you. That's where they drop the clips. And they have multiple clips of the same number. Don't be dumb if you think its one clip for all haircuts.

This happened to my mom. It took months for them to diagnose her. 7 dermatologist and it wasn’t until #7 that she finally had a biopsy. One derm injected her spots without even knowing what it was. She kept telling them she thought it came from the hair salon. Finally diagnosed today. She is in her 70’s. And its taken 6 months for someone to properly diagnose her. Unreal.

Would he have still gotten it if he showered right after the haircut? Does the barber putting alcohol on his head help?
@P3RF3CT-2 жыл бұрын
Putting alcohol can help but once the infection hit your scalp you have to get to get it treated. Constantly change your pillow cases and don't get a haircut for a while to consider the barber and their other customers

K so I've a question, I'm a girl with long hair, even at its shortest I've never needed clippers. It's easy to notice when they have their manual tools steeping in barbicide(sp?), but how do you tell if they clean their clippers etc properly? Pls help😶
@xXBlackxMoonXx13 жыл бұрын
Best thing to do is to bring your OWN tools. If you can't then go to someone you and people you know trust, have been there multiple times and for a long time. This is why I don't change my barbers in the cities I live in.
@sleephelper75653 жыл бұрын
Bringing your own tools is a great way to get laughed out of the barbershop. If someone brought me their own tools i would refuse service. as a professional Barber and business owner , the best advice i can give is to find a trustworthy barber and stick with them. This video is a good example of fear mongering. Although you can get ringworm through a barber, it is rare. Especially because if you find a true professional they will adhere to state board standards. Stop barber hopping. Stick with someone trustworthy and build a solid barber client relationship. Keep in mind you can also get a fresh cut, then go to the gym and contract it the same day just by laying on a surface lifting weights ect.
@xXBlackxMoonXx13 жыл бұрын
@@sleephelper7565 You are kinda right. I believe you and maybe even trust you if you get out of your way to say what you said. But you need to put in consideration the things that happen outside your bubble and outside your country. Some people simply don't care enough and that's ok, I'm not expecting them to do, even my "trustworthy" barber stopped wearing masks as if everything is ok now although it's not, at least he still uses the one time chair cloth and napkins. Don't mind me I'm just disappointed at everyone, they can't follow simple instructions, wasn't expecting them to do tho.

Great video and educational however just like in your own words tinea can be transferred by multiple ways so I am curious to know on how they determined that it came from a barber??? just saying barbers are not licensed in anyway shape or form to diagnose conditions on the scalp. Do be so quick to point fingers until you know 100% … I had gotten this before and blamed my barber only to fight out it was from wrestling
