In this episode, I am on my way to Abuja, which I should reach in one day now. But I still have to get across the wide river Niger, and according to the locals, there is a ferry... When I finally reach the paved road, and think that the biggest challenge is behind me, I realize it only just begun... stay tuned for the episode after this!

You are right,. she's more than brave. Those routes she followed are simply teeming with bandits and robbers. She could easily be taken hostage and a huge ransom demanded before she is released. As a woman, one of the bandit leaders could even decide to turn her into a bride. He would take her deep into the forest where she can't be traced. By the time she gets her freedom, she could be the mother of several brats. As she traverses to the Cameroon border, it's not bandits she could encounter but islamic terrorist groups like boko haram. When they take her hostage, it is curtains and babies. Personally, I'll suggest she cut short her Nigerian and African adventures. It's nice viewing for us but simply too risky for a white woman.

I am so amazed at what you create with those tools of today. I am so amazed that a whole editing suite fits in a little laptop and you are crashing through all this mud, rock, and holes and some crashes, and at the end of the day you put this story together and the music matches the mood. You have opened my eyes of 80 years and my viewpoint has softened on so many fronts as to what the world really looks like, we are so lucky to have you telling your stories and making the whole world fall in love with you. Thank so you very much for your very hard work. I know a little about how much time takes. It takes 4 hours for 5 minutes on Facebook for a ski club for me, [I'm sure your much faster] and they downsize the file so much, it looks so poor it feels like I when back to tape of old.

I've never heard of this route to Abuja; the most common route from the South is through Lokoja, and there's a large bridge there, and after the bridge, it's like 150-200km to Abuja... There's also a longer 2nd route from the South that cuts a bit to the East through Onitsha, but then you still have a large bridge there in the Onitsha bridge... Never heard of a route coming from the South to Abuja, were you have to cross the river using a ferry.
