When you were talking about not dwelling on how you havent had the most productive week so far and whatnot it made me think of this. A wonderful line from Kung Fu Panda: "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift. That is why we call it the present."

I just want to say how much I appreciate these videos. I know being vulnerable on the internet is scary and it's so much easier to just not talk about how you're feeling or what you're going through, but that vulnerability not only makes us feel that much closer to you, but it also helps me personally take a moment to check in with myself. You're like that accountability friend, your videos remind me that I need time to focus on me, too. So thank you so much for your authenticity and determination!! 🥰🥰

I switched from a To Do List to an It's Done list where at the end of the day I say all the things I have done for the day and if it is only one thing I remind myself that is okay, and that I need to rest too. This has helped me relax some, but I also am frustrated with my reading and I'm thinking of unhauling my TBR books and restarting by buying all new books.

Hailey, thank you so much for doing these new content video's. I'm really enjoying them because I too struggle with a lot of things. You talk about self help books, different ideas for things and you keep things authentic. I'm so happy and proud of you for slowing down and consentrating on you. Also love when you have the dogs in your video's because they make you smile and bring you joy. Your doing a great job, high five to you friend. 😊💜

I really needed this today, last week we had to put my dog down and in my grief I (understandably) have not been doing anything but at this point I'm not helping myself by neglecting my daily routines so I'm watching this to try and motivate myself to get back to 'normal' ❤

A friend of mine gave me this tip for tackling time blindness - listen to music 🥰 we roughly know how long our favourite songs are, so if you’re trying to get something done, put on a song (or playlist) and aim to be done in time with the music ❤ it doesn’t work 100% of the time (we’re only human) but it’s helped me at least get ready on time for work haha

Your videos are so motivating for me. Been a silent watcher for years. I also have ADHD and also autism. Have you heard of PDA (pathological demand avoidance?? It’s a symptom of ADHD as well as being something in its own right. It would explain why some tasks, even self care ones, feel too much and like you can’t do them and why they might make you feel tired. It might help to understand and research how things might work for you. Keep up the amazing work these vlogs are my comfort!! ❤

Thank you for sharing the most vulnerable parts of your life. I love your book content, but this helps me in ways you can't begin to imagine -- seeing someone showing their life and mental health struggles makes me feel seen and like I'm not a worthless POS who didn't get the same 'how to do life' manual it seems everyone else got. Thank you, Hailey.

Hi Hailey! I just wanted to take the time to say, once again, that this series has been so helpful. Was watching this video while deep cleaning my room and it really motivated me to go on the whole "reset" journey as well. I will be starting my teaching career this year (in elementary school in Quebec) and I am a little nervous (just got out of uni so it's like the beginning of a new life for me). So setting goals and having routines will really help me and I'm glad I can get some inspo from one of my favorite booktuber. :)

100% guilty of the “Oh damn I didn’t (insert goal here) that’s it for the rest of the week! Guess I’ll start again next week!” 😬🙋🏼‍♀️ I REALLY struggle with staying consistent & sticking to a routine. But the way I see it, so what if I start over every day with a new routine/new goals/new plan until something sticks. At least I’m trying & consistently working every day to better myself. Just food for thought! ☺️

Just a thought from someone who is sooooo much like you. Have you tracked your cycle and symptoms of “getting off the wagon”? For me there is a huge correlation between where I’m at in my cycle and what my motivation level is.

Would love to hear your thoughts on The Mountain is You, I definitely struggle there! I love your vlogs so much, they are such a breath of fresh air and treat for me. I’ve been having a 3 day weekend for some R&R so hopefully this will motivate me tomorrow morning to get back into my routines! I made some banana chocolate chip muffins inspired by one of your previous vlogs 😊 🍫

Some thoughts: 1) if you can, please get your hormone levels checked to see of there is a physical reason why your energy is so low, 2) when you do your task list, highlight te two things that are the most important to get done even if they are not easy. We can easily get caught up in being busy, but not productive, 3) while self time is important, you may need to look at getting the important things done in the morning when you have more energy and save self stuff for later when your energy wanes, 4) you are on the right track with trying to make things into habits because motivation is so fleeting that we have to develop discipline that allows us yo just do it even when we don't feel like it.

What you said about the bare minimum to have a good day is something I've been working on lately, except for each individual task. Like, I need to add a new page to my website about a new service I'm launching, so what's the bare minimum workable version of that page? All it really needs is a bullet list of what the service is about and a purchase link. I can always add more later, and at least this way the page is up and functioning. It's been helping me a lot because I tend to struggle with perfectionism. I wonder if you could apply a similar idea to your daily routines or even KZbin stuff? Just a thought!

Same here, check out Dani Donovan’s Anti Planner ☺️ it’s like therapists in a book! It was made for ppl who “Getting stuff done when you don’t feel like it”. It’s made for ppl with ADHD, but I’m Bipolar 1 so I have ADHD but symptoms of depression and almost every anxiety disorder!! Please look it up, it has exercises for different types of moods/ mental blocks so you can pick whichever one you are struggling with and one is unmotivated!! Love your channel and admire your ability to put yourself out there

I just found your channel from these motivation videos! Thank you very much for sharing your experience and advice to give ourselves grace! This video was so relatable! I have been trying to find ideas of productivity methods that will for me. Like on Living Like Leila channel, she did a video called a week of pomodoros, PetuniaRose has a video called building a routine am and pm tasks, where around 7 minutes into the video she talks about am and pm tasks and theme days. Also Tiffany Shelton 12 week year videos and her weekly plan videos, Sarra from the channel Heart Breathings 90 day reset routine-she talks about good, better and best goals, and Tracy from the channel the revised writer in her weekly 1 hour live plan with me video talks about having different days like full days and half days at around 1 hour and 15 minutes into her video.

Hey! If you go to the doctor, maybe ask him to check your thyroid as well. I was/am extremely tired too, these last few months and it turned out my thyroid was working to slow. Therefor I also had difficulty losing weight. I don't know if it's a very common thing, but my doctor had looked at a few other things before he looked at my thyroid, so it took a while before I knew what was wrong. So if your doctor tests that rightaway you don't have to wait as long as me to know if it might be that. (btw..if I made any mistakes it's because my main language is not English.) Also: I think you once said you have family in the Netherlands (that's where I live). If you ever come to visit here (again), Deventer, Volendam and Maastricht are nice cities to visit if you like to see something different than Amsterdam. I live in Deventer it's a really old city with cosy streets and sometimes cool events like The Charles Dickens (Festijn/) Event in winter or the Book Market in the summer. I think we have one of the largest Book Markets in Europe. 😜😃
