Getting Back On Track With The T-34

With winter just around the corner, I thought it was time to get the T-34 not only undercover but somewhere where the team can work on it properly.
Getting the T-34 in the shed is one thing.
However to get the building back up to a nice working environment will be another.
Working on these sorts of vehicles takes up lots of building space.
It’s not only important for me to be able to work on several different vehicles at once but it’s also important so I can keep a constant variety between projects for your viewing pleasure.

Your experience is an absolute match for my philosophy- sheer bloody mindedness and bad language will eventually get most things done! Moving a T 34 solo, that was a big ask; should be very proud of yourself Joe.

For what it's worth Mr Hewes that T-34 is being rebuilt in more advanced facilities than where it was originally manufactured Bentley looks nice in the background 👍 Ted, you are doing a superb job work considering the workforce you have 😂

Wow, I can’t believe it, I was hooked on your channel, the first time I watched you guys with the T-34 and it’s been 2yrs already. It seems like it’s gone full circle since then. Watching you, Jack and the rest of the guys work and have fun is enjoyable and even watching your girlfriend getting involved in some of the projects. Excited to see you catching up on the T-34. Cheers to you all.

0:26 It's amazing to see how well that engine is running knowing full well what had gone so terribly wrong inside it. Stands as a testament to how rugged those engines were! Inefficient, smoky, crude as they were, they would run when others won't.

I used to work for Linde lift building the fork lifts, in order to move or tow the lift truck you have to unlock the hydraulic motor and brake system, look at the brake valve and you will find a grease nipple. Insert grease with your grease gun manually until the brakes are released. Do not use too much pressure as you will damage the system. You will find the complete procedure in the operator manual that must be with the truck, probably in the pouch behind the seat

The easiest way ive found to move heavy things on small wheels on a yard is planking or strips of ply , tedious but if you haven't got the pulling power it's an option ..... During the 50s onward my grandfather had to plank his Dozer sometimes 30miles to get to the next job as lowbeds etc weren't available..... He had a team of men for this , apparently they often were very long days....... Great job anyways with your mission , I see you had Chisel head on the job also ! 😉🙃😎 NZ

Why was the Turret such a barsteward and the main body so easy ? In two simple words--- Bigger Wheels ! When you've got nothing to do 🤣, you need to adapt that dolly and fit Bigger wheels, eg. something like Land Rover Wolf style. You would need to fabricate some sort of stub axles so you don't alter the overall height much and get rid of those Piano size casters. Love the channel, thanks for taking the time to share what you love doing😊.

You need to drill a hole in the end off your pallet tyne, you then can put a pin in pointing skyward with a clip to clamp to the tyne. You can then move things around using the pin and straps and chains cannot slip off

Good video. The work will go better and more smoothly once you have painted out and weather sealed the workshop. Right work proceeds from right thinking which proceeds from right surroundings. Good job moving that yourself. And to think I pat myself on the back because I managed to get the Harrison milling machine I am restoring out of my workshop to paint strip it, by myself. Mind you, I don't have a forklift or a telehandler.

I'm not especially mechanically minded but I like to think I know the difference between a supercharger and a turbo. I'm also not an habitual KZbin viewer either. However, I did want to say just how captivated I've been by this channel in the few days simnce I found it. You guys/girls/dogs are obviously living your best life and its been huge fun to watch. I also love how you show/explain how certain bits of machinery work/fail/get fixed (More please!). My only complaint is that Ive struggled to work out how to watch the T34 restoration in order. Keep it up and Viva Ted!

Regarding your emblem painted on the front of the T-34, I also saw on the OT-64 SKOT an emblem of a dog’s profile within a badge, which I think I’ve seen before, logically Polish or Czechoslovakian military perhaps. You really should create a similar emblem for all your vehicles using Ted’s profile. Once he’s noticed you painting your own name on the tanks, Poo will probably insist on it.
