You can get a bulb that charges or battery operated for the mini lamp. It’s so adorable.

Yes! I had a friend who just removed the cord for a mini lamp in her kitchen and uses a rechargeable bulb. She wanted it in a corner where the outlets were more centered on the walls on each side and she didn't want the cord showing or getting in the way. She just disconnected it so she can wire the cord back on if she moves it later and eats the cord.

Oh my! When your mom laughed about yo’all not being flea marketed out! My favorite moment in this blog! Although, I always enjoy your vlogs, your enthusiasm, Kinsley helping you with everything. I especially enjoy your relationship with your mom. My daughter and I had a similar relationship until she suddenly passed just over a year ago. I miss her so much and seeing you and your mom together makes me smile. Oh, and I ordered the Mini Rose Garden ring from your collection and it’s supposed to arrive tomorrow! I can hardly wait! I plan to order the wider ring later and maybe the bracelet. I’m also planning to order the Botany Poster from Drew’s collection plus the large abstract, Tranquility. The whole collection is amazing, but those are my favorites.

There is a channel called French Vibes. You may know it already. I think you would really enjoy it. She lives in a village in the south of France. She and her husband work in Monaco. She takes you on tours of village markets, area sights and activities as well as other villages and cities. Her video today was a weekend trip to St. Tropez. A very good channel.

I've used Retique it plenty of times- on my son's bunk bed, on a dresser, on non wood items to give them the appearance of wood. I've found it to work great with gel stain and lots of patience using brushes to give it the appearance of wood grain. Works beautifully though!

I saw a hack on another channel recently. You can use putty to put over a section of the frame that’s not missing the piece, then let it dry. Afterwards you our resin in to it and make the missing piece…then you can paint it or color match that part. I thought it was super clever.

So sorry about Willie, Donna. 😢 It's a terrible pain. We spend so much time with our dogs (and cats) and have such an intense relationship with them, that it's truly like losing a piece of yourself. I remember when my grandfather and my dog died about a week apart and my mother told me she felt guilty a month later because while she'd cried endlessly about Meggie, she'd hardly cried for her dad. But she'd lived apart from her parents for probably 40 years at that point with 20 of them several states away, seeing him only a couple of times a year. She interacted with Maggie literally all day, every day spending nearly every waking moment with her. my mom never worked outside the home and Meggie was her shadow. And, too, her dad was elderly and ill, whereas our dogs are eternally childlike to us. To me, it made infinite sense to feel that way. Sadly, I've experienced it too many times myself. So, to my own extent, I can empathize with you. I hope you find peace in remembering the happy times and even just the ordinary days that allowed Willie to know how he was loved and to return that love to you. 🕊️

When you design your new kitchen, you should come up with a window sill that has an outlet built in. Like, a door that flips up with a little notch for the cord and you can plug it in and hide the extra cord length and flip it down and set the lamp on top of it.

Not sure about American code, but English planning would never allow an electrical point so close to water. A battery powered bulb would be much safer, and neater.

I agree about the water. But I had something similar on my fireplace mantle and it was wonderful for wreaths and lamps that were corded. It was installed before cordless light strands and battery/rechargeable bulbs were a thing, but it still came in handy for vintage finds and was pretty much invisible
