Inflation is far more harmful to individuals than a collapsing stock or property market because it directly affects people's cost of living, which they immediately feel. It is not surprising that the current market sentiment is extremely pessimistic. In today's economy, assistance is critical if we are to survive.

If the Liberals were honest about climate change, they should be championing our energy sector. It’s the most ethically produced energy in the world. Also, offsetting China and Indias use of coal would greatly reduce net emissions vs the current strategy of keep it in the ground. We are a country of 38M. What about the billions that consume over seas?

@@shanedinapoli2240 Germany will fail to meet their targets because they decided to listen to some fearful environmentalists and have shut down their nuclear or are in the process of doing so. They have another 13 years of use of their reactors which would more than overcome the shortfall of Russian NG (The russian NG was used for electricity production not heating). Also that tsunami only resulted in 1 death... 1 death.... not much of a disaster. More people fall off of roofs installing solar in a week than that single meltdown did with a massive natural disaster. Your question didn't really make much sense either... not sure what the premise was.....what is Germany doing that you think Canada shouldn't?
@shanedinapoli2240
@shanedinapoli2240 2 жыл бұрын
@@DavidMcCalister that is a good question. Undue reliance on imported natural gas from one source. While Canada targets climate targets virtually all of their fossil fuel supply is domestic. For example, the province of Ontario receives more than 2/3 of all of its fuel from Alberta. Similarly the US has large domestic supplies for fossil energy. California has managed many of their climate targets by importing electricity from surrounding states and oil from Alberta. The intermittent nature of green energy requires fossil fuels (principally natural gas) to ensure 99.99 grid reliability. So while Canada says it’s pursuing climate targets it’s still ensuring energy security because of its existing pipeline infrastructure. This may get tested if a critical pipeline that crosses into the United States is disrupted and the truth of an entirely green grid is revealed as too unreliable for most peoples needs.

they have built the LNG terminal at Wilhelmshaven in record time. Once the Russian gas flow was reduced, they have been looking for alternative gas suppliers (like the US) , and expediting their LNG terminal construction, which is now operational. Plus they are looking ahead to hydrogen infrastructure (their new pipeline to service Wilhelmshaven is expected to serve hydrogen in the future). Plus they generate a lot of solar/wind energy, and have a growing EV population.

Gas link is being built in my hood. It's about time! Hard to believe it's almost 2023 and only about half complete. We've been trying since 2007! The US is the wrong path. They steal our products, below market value. We need export facilities! And we need energy east completed. What intelligent country purchases energy from other countries, putting money in their pockets but not ours? US had numerous LNG facilities in the Gulf coast. Buy our gas cheap, sell theirs for profit. Energy globally is increasing. Canada needs to get involved now, like yesterday. 50% reduction in carbon emmisions also.

I think an LNG terminal in Churchill, Manitoba would work well for export to Germany. We would have to design it similar to Russia's arctic Yamal LNG terminal, and use icebreaker Finnish designed LNG tankers like they are using right now, but I think the shorter pipeline going through less provinces would make it worth it. Plus it would bring the economy of northern Manitoba up.

@@bryancampbell9622 Very interesting Bryan. I haven't heard of this option for international export of LNG, but perhaps it's worth industry looking into it's feasibility? We definitely need international export means from our borders. We are not getting true value sending our products directly to USA solely. I've worked in industry for 24 years, and can't believe we have been left out of the market this long. Politics has left Canada weak, poorly positioned, and economically hurting our citizens. All while we could be helping this planet and people on it. I believe this has been by design making many US/international corporations wealthy. Sad indeed. Keep faith and in our once incredible nation, that it will once again be. Thanks Bryan :-)

I don't think the US is "stealing" our natural gas. We are getting a pipeline out to the west coast, but that was not the case for decades. Canada has always had a problem with infrastructure (note Atlantic Canada still has to import foreign oil, due to lack of a Canadian pipeline). Pipelines point south, so that is where our oil/gas goes, to the Louisiana coast for processing and shipment. So we are using their infrastructure, and we do not receive the world price in payment from the US.
@maxineporter8848
@maxineporter8848 Жыл бұрын
@@bryancampbell9622 Interesting thought to repurpose the port of Churchill. Perhaps for LNG shipment, or even "green" hydrogen which could be processed from Manitoba hydro. It is possible that with climate change the ice buildup in Hudson Bay is less and extends the shipping season? The Germans are so smart they know Canadian geography and possibilities better than we do. Thyssen Krupp has a deal with Hydro Quebec to produce "green" hydrogen. Scholz signed a deal this year to produce and ship hydrogen from Stephenville Newfoundland. They expect it to be up and running by 2025!

I don't know if they are bought off or just so br-ainw-ash-ed by the green energy types, but they are refusing to produce energy that we all desperately need. They are pure evil.

American oil and Gas companies want to take advantage of Canada....we may have enough gas for our own consumption for one hundred years but what if Canada is sucked dry by exports in 50 years. BIB oil propaganda is dividing Canadians on this issue. Extract it now or save it for the use of Canadians later . Americans want Canadian taxpayers to subsidize the cost of building the infrastructure to export gas for their profits. They don’t give a crap about Canada. Think long term …Besides, we would not be able to compete with Russian gas price just by the cost of getting the gas over there, at least double.. LNG vs Natural Gas pipeline close to Europe . The situation in Europe is likely to be short term if Russians are defeated.

How to make vehicles run on alkali solution : ELECTROLYSIS INSIDE FUEL FILTER, AND INSIDE COMBUSTION CHAMBER BY PLASMA FROM MULTI SPARKPLUGS, JUST NEED LITTLE HACK THE ELECTRYCITY BY USE SUPERCAPACITOR AND VARISTOR, FIRST MAKE ELECTROLYSIS INSIDE FUEL FILTER first electrolysis (PEM OR PLASMA), BECAUSE GRAFITY EFFECT WATER COME FROM UNDER FUEL FILTER EFFECT WILL MAKE PRESSURE SO HYDROGEN DON'T COME BACK TO FUEL TANK BUT RIGHT INTO INJECTOR, BY INJECTING BOTH HYDROGEN AND WATER INTO INTERNAL COMBUSTION CHAMBER CHAIN REACTION (EXPLOSION MUST BEEN HAPPENING INSIDE COMBUSTION CHAMBER) BECAUSE PLASMA SPARKPLUGS WILL MAKE ELECTROLYSIS+IGNITION , THIS MEAN ALL VEHICLES ACTUALY CAN RUN AND BURN ON WATER AND HYDROGEN.

Canadians seem deliberately to ignore the co-relation of Politics vs Economy ; without Political Innovation the Economy is just 'Dead Fish". They do not know what the economy is, what the Marketing is , what the Business is , what the Competition especially GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS is. Canada already lost the TIMING! Very Very Very seriously sick at the moment.

Exactly, Canada probably has the same if not more natural gas and oil than Russia. Canada's territory is so vast some areas probably haven't even been properly surveyed do to the lack of investment and interest by the government. The main problem with a lot of Western countries is that they are too idealistic. They just don't seem to value practical common sense.
