Amanda I had the mohs surgery on the side of my nose for skin cancer last year also. The good news is that the surgeons that do this surgery are extremely well trained and you will be treated by the best. So sorry you must go through this but the good news is that you are very young, you got it diagnosed and you will heal quickly and be just fine. Enjoyed your life update and glad you are happy!

Awe thanks for taking the time to update us. Your job sounds great. Also just wanted to share that my fiance was diagnosed with the same thing a little over a year ago. He got it cut out, I was in the room with him during the procedure, no anesthesia. It was a scary time but a year later he's doing great 🙂. Sending all the positive vibes, girlie.

Nice to hear your travel plans! Sorry to hear you're going through skin cancer. My dad had it too, on his cheek. They had to cut of two square inches of skin off his face. The good news is that you can't even tell if you don't know! Surgeons are really good these days. Hope it all goes just as well for you too. Sending you lots of love

Awww I'm so sorry. I'm glad it's not worse, but still. Man, that bites. I had minor surgery on my head (not scary like cancer, just to remove a large, slowly growing bump) and hopefully your experience will be similar to mine. It wasn't scary, I couldn't feel pain, and it just sounded like my hair was being cut, though it was them removing the bump. I hope everything gets better for you. As for everything else, cool! Please give us a tour of your apartment when you get one. I'm nosy :P and I'm glad you love your job. Most people seem to hate theirs, so it sounds great to have one you love.

I’m so sorry to hear about your skin cancer. I noticed that you were less active on KZbin, and I wondered if there was something going on... It sounds like you have a good team to help you through this. Please consider sunscreen in the future. Congratulations on the job - you lit right up speaking of it! That’s wonderful!

Love that you're uploading videos up again :) I'm glad to hear that you've decided to look positvely on your skin cancer and I wish you luck with the surgery. I was wondering if you're still a minimalist? Or has your budget changed due to larger income ? Can you please make a video on budget and minimalism Hugs from Denmark

Hi Amanda, I hope the surgery goes well and wish you a good recovery! I have one question for you. I know that you've said in the past video that you dont put sunscreen. No judgement there but does getting diagnosed skin cancer changed your mind and do you still dont apply sunscreen or are you applying sunscreen to prevent/protect your skin?
@AmandaRoundtheGlobe6 жыл бұрын
hi jena :) not sure if you watched that whole video, but i mentioned in it that if i am in the sun for long periods of time that I do wear sunscreen. That title was mainly clickbait and it got taken really literally when in the video i explained that I do protect myself from the sun. I still use hats and shade mainly to protect myself from the sun but yes, I do also wear sunscreen when I'm going out in the sun (as I did before). I've always worn sunscreen on my face with day creams and my makeup also has sunscreen in it. The doctor told me that this skin cancer most likely developed due to 1. genetic pre-disposition and 2. sun exposure - even with sunscreen. Sunscreen does not fully protect you from skin cancer, the only thing that can do that is to stay out of the sun completely. Thank you for your concern xx

@@AmandaRoundtheGlobe Hi Amanda, thank you for your explanation! :) now I remember you saying that you try to wear hats and avoid delibrate sun tanning etc. I worked for dermatologists so I was curious of your thoughts coz I also have a friend who works for a pharmacist and she is quite against the chemicals of sunscreen which I can understand where she is coming from. Anyways, I love your stories. Especially your minimalism topics! so please keep going xx

This type of surgery is minor. No big deal. Not heart or say brain surgery.

Hope the surgery helps! I was 30 when they found a precancerous spot on my cheek that had turned from a freckle into a big spot that worried me and my husband enough to go get it checked out. They froze it off and so far so good. Scary!

Hi Amanda, love your videos, your stories and adventures. My aunt was diagnosed with the same cancer and managed to heal it completely within 3 months with pure Frankincense oil. This got me thinking and doing some research and I found this: www.oapublishinglondon.com/article/656 maybe look into it for future reference. Good luck angel! ❤
