I look forward to hearing from you in the comments if you wanted to continue the conversation on mental health, and let me know if you would like to see videos related to mental health or ADD in the future!

This was so informative. As someone who really struggles with attention I’ve always wondered if I may have some sort of A.D.D. My work requires me to check documents for mistakes and damn, it’s so difficult for me to stay attentive to task I often miss them. I loved that you threw in superpowers, too. No diagnosis is a negative.
@comfyera3 жыл бұрын
omg yes checking documents for mistakes would be the bane of my existence lol! And yeah we can't forget everything comes with its superpowers. :) I think the David and Goliath book by Malcom Gladwell is the book that changed my whole perspective on challenging things we go through. There's so much potential in the struggle :)

This was very interesting! You're right it is not a famous subject people talk about as I never heard of ADD before this, I only heard of ADHD
@comfyera3 жыл бұрын
Margaux yeah it’s something people don’t really talk about and so often goes undiagnosed so I thought it was an important topic to cover! Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment!

I really like how you framed it as superpowers... that’s a cool way to think about it!
@comfyera3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words; I love that the superpowers resonated with you! And I really believe it! A.D.D. definitely makes some things really hard, but I also don't know if I would be where I am in life without it, so all in all I wouldn't change a thing. 😀

Thank you so much for opening up and sharing! Very helpful to have topics like this discussed and explored in this format. I did not know about women getting underdiagnosed, but that makes a lot of sense. I would love to know more about how you cope with your ADD , techniques you use.
@comfyera3 жыл бұрын
Hey Alina!!! Thank you for watching, it means a lot! Yeah when I learned about women being underdiagnosed I had to talk about it, especially as this can be harmful as then women don't get the treatment they need! I am filming a video about how I cope with ADD so this is perfect timing; I'll release it as soon as I can! ❤️

Loved the intro, did you do it or did someone help you? Great topic, you know I love it! Yes, is more associated with men than women! And yes, we internalize more! And we have less confidence which causes so many other problems! Loved your hair on the second part of the video! ha,ha voice distortion! Fun and in the same time very relevant video! 💖 Eventually after 30 min you find the car!

Thank you for watching the video and all the kind words! Yeah it took a while but eventually the car was found. :D Since I work full time in tech I work with an editor that I found on upwork. I have had a great experience! Unfortunately she is booked for now but you can find awesome editors on there (even though I feel like you don't need them, your videos are amazing!)

It definitely is more common than we think to have a mental illness. I’ve also recently learned (from TikTok 😂but still) that women are under diagnosed. Thank you for sharing this, it will be so helpful for many!
@comfyera3 жыл бұрын
That's what I love about KZbin & TikTok.. I mean there is A LOT on here so it's important to do one's own research, but I also feel like social media has also allowed people to talk about important topics that too often we don't talk about! I don't use TikTok but I have heard of friends who have learned a lot on there, and personally I get so much value from KZbin! (That's why I decided to start a channel, to pay it forward in a sense!) Thanks for the comment Sasha; I appreciate you!

Thank you for opening up, giving examples from your life and helping others not feeling alone!! It’s such a complex topic and I totally agree that often it’s rather woman who get undiagnosed (as they don’t go to the doctor and believe that it’s just their own “fault” that they need to struggle every day with themselves) or misdiagnosed (e.g. with depression or anxiety). I think it’s the best advice to talk to a doctor specialised on this topic. I would like to hear about ADD and mental health more! Greetings from Germany!
@comfyera3 жыл бұрын
Yes! I definitely was one of those people who just felt like it was my own fault vs having an actual disorder. Once I got the diagnosis everything made so much more sense. I am really glad this resonated with you and will try to make more content like this! ❤️

Thank you for raising awareness about A.D.D. and A.D.H.D. :) As you know I was diagnosed late too! My brother was diagnosed with ADHD at 8 years old but I was diagnosed in my twenties even though we had a lot of the same behaviors and challenges too. Autism gets diagnosed later if ever for women too which I've also been diagnosed with. It was so nice talking about this with you yesterday. I really struggled teaching and keeping up with every day life. I HATE driving too!! Daring Greatly was sooooo good! Amazing video. ❤️

It was sooo great to meet you yesterday! I can’t believe how much we have in common! And omg yay for Daring Greatly! Best book ever!!! Re the ADD thank you for sharing your story. Even though I saw the research it’s still shocking for me to realize this actually happens and affects women I care about! I hope that as more women start talking about their diagnoses this can change; our mental health deserves proper treatment! Big hugs, miss you already!

Giulia, thank you SO much for this video! My brother has ADHD so I read a lot about the disorder (and ADD too). But you summarized the pros and cons of the disorder so well, I will definitely share this video with my family 🙌🏾 my brother is the only one in my family who was diagnosed with ADHD, but I'm suspicious that everyone in my family should get the same diagnosis 😅
