Morgan: "People, like you, the good people, they always die and the bad people do too but the weak people, the people like me, we have inherited the earth." Loved this episode and Michonne got some wonderful character development, And we loved Rick telling her to drive because he's seeing things. That said, finding Morgan and seeing how far gone he is, was a bit of a wake up call for Rick. Maybe Morgan can't come back, but Rick still can, even though it is only because he still has something left to lose. That was the 'Hitchhiker' scattered in the road leading to his bag. I think he said 'WEEKS' with Dwayne and then alone. I think it was shortly (a month or 2) after Rick left them at the house because Morgan couldn't leave his wife and he couldn't put her down.

**Important** I don’t know how far ahead you guys are, but I wanted to make sure before you got too far that you guys are aware: Starting with Season 5, there are after credit scenes. I would suggest checking for them on every episode starting in season 5. You’d regret not doing so. They don’t always happen but you don’t want to miss any! One thing that is not talked about enough with Morgan in this episode, is the piles of bodies shown. Morgan saw a kid and two others and shot on sight. He’s not just clearing walkers. How many of those bodies were people? In clear mode, he has probably killed MANY MANY MANY people. Some innocent. He had a broken mind. And yet, Rick was still able to bring out the Morgan he knew.

One of the best episodes in the season (in my opinion atleast). Day 312, close to a year after the apocalypse, and humanity is reduced to embers. Anyhow, some episode talk/comments; - Carl is slipping. - Michonne's lifestory will show itself eventually and yeah, you're spot on, but nothing compared to the future. - Morgan has fully lost himself, not his mind, not really.. Morgan has just.. died.. and something else took his place. He's seen some real shit. - Michonne really enjoys peanutbutter proteine bars, and the mat did indeed say welcome.

Someone probably already told you in Patreon, but the hitchhiker was there, he was the pieces of meat next to the bag :( I think is important because this episode shows Rick the road he is heading towards if he doesn't chance, where he ends up crazy like Morgan. Morgan doesn't take chances at all and shoots everyone on sight, Rick doesn't want to let anyone get close to the group, including the hitchhiker who then was horrendously murdered.

I've watched the entire series up to date. This episode is by far the best character driven callback to Morgan, and still holds water as in my opinion in the top 5 episodes of the show. The way he was reintroduced now shows how being alone in this universe changes you different than being with a group. Michonne was alone for a long time before she met Andrea, but all people handle things differently... Lennie James absolutely kills it. He chews the scenes like a walker. So broken, so heartbreaking, but so brutally true. He should have won an award for this.

now how awesome was it to see Morgan again after all this time? Even tho he didn't go with them and stayed back, in the scenes he was in this episode he really killed it! His quote you guys pinned is probably one of my favorites of the whole show because he's absolutely right. In the future we'll see even more why but even now If we take everyone here, no one is really good or bad anymore because you just don't make it for too long If you are either way. Guys like the ones Rick shot at the bar back in season 2 will end up dead eventually because someone will be stronger and being a bad person without any moral code will get you killed sooner or later, on the other hand people like Dale who have too strong of a moral code will end up dead sooner or later as well because you sometimes might have to put them aside in order to survive. If we take our group now, maybe for this Rick, Michonne and Carl especially in this episode : good people would've probably helped the backpacker, bad people would've killed him to take his stuff, find out where he's coming from but weak people just drive by and watch. Even when we take a look at the antagonists we've encountered so far which is right now the Governor of course, he's probably not a bad person. Before all that he's had a family, a daughter and was probably a very loving family father he also did build Woodbury. He kept his daughter because he couldn't handle the loss and went all crazy in the head becoming the Governor, not because he's a bad person but because he's weak. Same reason Dr. Jenner decided to imprison them in the season 1 finale not because he's a bad person but because he's weak.

The orange backpack you saw on the guy Rick, Michonne and Carl left behind, they will use that backpack for almost the rest of the show.

This was one of my favorite episodes. Lennie James is one hell of an actor and I got to meet him at walker Stalker Nashville in 2017. Lennie James is so down to earth and a very pleasant human. And you wouldn’t know it but he’s from London. Love his accent. Thanks for the upload.

Ah, the good old clear episode. The whole thing is just Rick, Michonne, Carl & Morgan and just a great acting class. Also, keep an eye on that *orange backpack*, It's just funny to me lol

I look forward to your TWD reaction videos! 👍This is such a great episode! Lennie James is such an amazing actor! And you see a contrast between two men who have been through so much loss and trauma, and the difference that the support of other people can make in helping them find their way back to a more stable state of mind. Morgan is alone, with no one to challenge his delusional state of mind. And I've always said that TWD is a drama TV series that happens to have zombies/walkers in it. The show has a horror genre aspect to it, but the tone of the show is that of a drama program. It's part of the shows appeal!

The walking dead is brilliant with how they sprinkle these little bottle episodes into and throughout the seasons. Lenny James is fantastic as Morgan. He is such a treat to see, even if how his story has played out is sad to hear. Morgan's continued story in this episode, along with the hitch-hiker's (Rick wouldn't stop for the human being screaming for help,, but he'd stop for the dead man's pack at the end) really adds so much deminsion to this new world as a whole. It's brutal, and sad, and dangerous, and desperate. What is to become of our heroes who have to live it, and how will it shape the people they become?

This episode is one of the episodes where there’s a lot that is hinted to here that’s relevant in other season, even a quote he says that hints towards one of the biggest plot lines of the comics and shows, and it’s so cool.

In those 2 episodes we saw Morgan, he proven himself just to be as good actor as Rick, that runs the whole show.

Totally agree! I don’t know why some people used to complain when we had character development episodes instead of just Walkers everywhere or none stop actions! Sometimes these kinds of episodes were far more important to advance the story compared to boom there’s a walker out of nowhere! As for the actor who plays Morgan! Lennie James, his excellent & always like Rick, Andrew Lincoln definitely delivers their roles like no other! The only complaint most of us TWD fans had it was w/AMC when the show picked up more & more and they had to significantly increase the main casts pay they started to substitute the episodes w/bottled episodes! I don’t understand why cut corners when the main attraction was our main cast instead annoy people of not seeing this or that character until several episodes later… perhaps when watching it now where you don’t have to wait a week for the next episode and binge them, it might have different effect. Not to mention the lawsuit they had to deal with the initial director, Frank Darabont who brought the comic turn to TV series for AMC. I believe HBO turned down bc they thought it’s a Zombie show and it won’t catch on but boy they were wrong!
