He is very well spoken had a rough patch in his past. I could relate myself. I had some friends that let me stay with them after I got divorced and it was tough. I just put my bills in a pile and sulked. Literally was homeless and but for the grace of God I would have been living in my car.

I had a man ask me if i could buy him some food. I was going into the grocery store. I told him yes, get what you need. I went shopping and met him up front. He selected the smallest potato salad and a sandwich. Him and his elderly father were living in his truck. I told him to go back and get some food. I went with him and grabbed a large potato salad and a few other things from the deli. He was so humbled and grateful. They had a gardening business, and his dad got sick and ran into financial troubles. I've walked up to people and given them money. But i think its better to get them things, then you know its helping them and not going to drugs or liquor. Sometimes all it takes is a little hand up.

Judgemental much? What makes you ASSUME they would buy drugs or liquor?
@deardra5619
@deardra5619 4 ай бұрын
@rebareyes6595 Because most of the homeless are drug addicted or alcoholic. I once tried to help someone after my son died. I have a small granny unit, I let Bruce stay in it, and he couldn't get off the alcohol. My daughter told me she thinks he died. So my first-hand experience was with an alcoholic. My best friend brother would make big meals every Sunday and turkey at Thanksgiving almost everyone of them was a drug addicted. That doesn't mean they don't need food and clothing.

@deardra5619 Most people who have homes and have jobs go home and drink alcohol.... These poor people are on the streets with nothing, nada, zilch... so, of course, they want to drink alcohol- people with every comfort & money drink alcohol..... It always baffles me people who won't help a person cz they want a drink to escape their misery if but for a few hours or they want to drink to keep warm inside.... People have been drinking alcohol since day dot - Same with drugs.. or so-called 'drugs', most of which are what big pharma has put out their to hook people - all their drugs are toxic... all have terrible chemicals and toxins and cause mega suicidal depressions.. and yet natural herbal 'drugs' are made illegal, mostly such as mushrooms and alkaline plants like Cannabis which when taking in a balanced way - heal (numerous studies prove they heal a host of things including addiction, PTSD & so on) Well, that's all I'm going to say.

Fake service dog.. really wish they wouldn't be so lax on the service animal stuff.. it's obvious that dog isn't properly trained for it, everyone petting her and loving on her shouldn't be happening with an actual service animal. This is why people think it's OK to come up to people's service pets and mess with them. It isnt.

I woke up at 4:00 AM this morning, couldn’t get back to sleep so I decided to catch up on Knate’s KZbin shorts. Talk about a good feeling to start your day with, I love what he does. 👍🏼😊 I used to do the same myself not long ago but on a smaller scale. I handed out sandwiches, socks and gloves to the homeless on the street and under some local bridges.. we’ve had the occasional BBQ cookout too, always nice when trying to get to know ppl. I also put together toiletry bags with dollar store items such as aspirin, toothpaste, brushes, soap, tampons.. etc. It’s all I could afford but it always seemed appreciated. Sometimes all it takes to make someone’s day is to show a little kindness/compassion. The most common complaint I hear from the homeless is that they feel invisible, less than human. It breaks my heart and sometimes just taking the time to stop and have conversation, allowing them to tell their story does a world of good too. I completely quit doing any of these things about 6 months ago bc I was assaulted by a man who got angry when I brought him Mc D’s food instead of giving cash like his sign requested. He was sooo angry that I could feel his spit on my face as he screamed profanities at me. He snatched the bags of food from my hands, threw them to the ground and stomped on them. His wife was also there, she was absolutely livid and was desperately trying to calm the situation but to no eval. I put my hands up and told the man I was sorry but I don’t carry cash on me and I was just going to leave. I didn’t even see it coming, as I turned to walk away his fist connected with my jaw and I fell to the sidewalk. As I was laying there completely dumbfounded another homeless man came to helped me up and walked me to my car. He had also picked up the bags of food and politely asked me if he could have the burgers squished and all, it didn’t matter bc he was hungry. He also waited with me while the police showed up so he could give a witness statement. Unfortunately there are addiction issues out on the street, I’m not out to judge anyone but for those reasons I simply don’t hand out cash. So the man who sucker punched me got arrested, I was told later that he was on meth but his wife was clean. Unfortunately she got taken to jail as well despite me telling the cops that she was trying to defuse the situation and did nothing wrong. As for myself, I was taken to the hospital with a dislocated jaw. Not that it should matter bc nobody deserves to be assaulted but I am female and the experience really shook me, the reason I haven’t mustered up the courage yet to hit the streets to help again. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I did however start a birthday club at my local homeless shelter for the kids who live there.. which I encourage other ppl to try if they are reading this bc it’s been fantastic! I’ve had the occasional negative opinion saying that ppl need more important things than a birthday party but I disagree. No child should have their b-day forgotten simply bc they are living in a homeless shelter. The idea oddly enough came to me in a dream and I went the next day to discuss it with the shelter coordinator and she loved the idea! I gathered up a list of all the kids names and birth dates, pitched the idea to some of our local stores for possible sponsorship and Target got on board. So on my list of children, when their special day comes around I provide the b-day cake, ice cream and favors.. Target provides a warm winter coat or sweater depending on the time of year, 1 complete outfit including socks, undies and shoes.. and of course a b-day isn’t complete without a couple of toys which is provided by Target as well. We play games, we eat cake, dance to music.. and watch Disney movies when it’s time to calm things down (LoL) and it’s a fun day for everyone! 👍🏼 😊 🎂 🥳 I really do encourage other ppl to try this if they are up for the challenge, it’s brought so much joy to my life and I wanted to share the idea with other’s. Sorry for the long post, it wasn’t my intention to write a novel here. 😂 Have a blessed day and hug your loved one’s. 🥰 Thanks.. Shine, WA State 😊

Because you inspire me Nate, today i was at my treatment at the hospital and i was feeling miserable and i noticed a young nurse who forgot her wallet and couldn't buy her lunch. She ran out before I could catch her to go try to borrow it from a colleague. So while she was gone i slipped up to the cashier quickly and paid for her lunch. I asked them not to tell her who had blessed her, just to tell her that she is so appreciated and thank you for what she does every day. (I was a nurse when i was young before I got sick). They often dont have time for more than a quick bite at lunch and often go many hours without even a restroom break. The cashier said she had never seen anyone do that before (sad eh?) And she disobeyed my wishes and told her who i was. So when she turned to put down her sandwich i slipped out of there and left the building. I needed that feeling of blessing her in my heart, i got more bad news just before that and i was feeling low and sad. Thanks to giving that blessing, i felt better. I love the feeling, i will be looking forward to my next chance to bless someone that could use it. Much love Nate, thank you for teaching us all how we can really help others. ❤

👏 I always think why these type of videos don’t get more views and then remember people would rather watch and like someone taking about some bs vs these Beautuful amazing videos thanks for posting this comment!

He seems like a great guy. He’s a worker and just needed a little help to get him through. God leads Nate to where he is supposed to go. I love Nate. His heart for people is amazing and we can learn so much from his example.

Thank you so much for what you do. Me and my two sons were homeless for awhile and holding up signs we never got much help and plenty of nights we were hungry and sleeping out in the open no tent or anything. It's a hard life out there. God bless you.

Thank you so much for doing these vids, I myself was homeless and not from drugs or alcohol but from situations, not all homeless are degenerates and they are humans and deserve to be treated as such, I have seen people treat me terribly because I was homeless but I also had people treat me with love and respect, like you do, thank you again for all that you do.

Oh man, as a half american born and raised in the EU more specifically denmark, when i lost everything the government was there to pick me up and give me the essentials, and 1000€ a month for 9 months to get on my feet. so it saddens me to see that private citizens have to do that job BUT, im so happy there are ppl like u out there to pick up the pieces of ppl who just need a little push to get back.

Out of all the videos I’ve seen of people giving…yours touch my heart like no other…you really care and take time out for these people…I’m a mother of 5, and I’ll definitely give and save the Amazon wishlist so when I can spare you can help these people.

I love these longer videos. They're not as viral and easy to make as shorts but they're just so much better. As sad is it is, i can't subscribe to channels that post shorts almost daily, it would ruin my already busy feed and i don't see youtube as a platform for this quick videos for attention deficit people.

It's so hard when you see people that are homeless and they been homeless for so long. It's hard to understand how they ever stop being homeless. But it's so great when you give this man a hand up and know that he's going to walk on his feet again. Watch so many of your videos your hero, you're a great man, I hope I can half man you are.

👌 I was houseless, not homeless because home is the people you're with and where your heart is. "Stereotypical" homeless people don't exist. It's made up by corporate greedy people who don't give a poop about community or how it works. People have the opportunity to get involved the best they can and help when they can for as much as they are able. Nate you're a great catalyst! Bless you!

Hello Nate I'm a new subscriber here. IMO you are exactly who God wants us to be. Selfless and loving. Thank you for all you do. I imagine it must take quite a bit out of you physically and emotionally. Dealing with people that are struggling in particular is a very draining thing. Their emotions I'm sure spill over onto you. Also you are a rare soul to be able to do what you do and how your able to do it. That's a direct reflection of you and your personality. So bravo to you because you are so much more than " just Knate ". God bless you honey. You've changed people's live around. That's no small feat.

Highly suggest you encourage people to watch your videos and really see what you are doing to our world. The money is not the point of your videos, it’s restoring the broken people to atleast have hope for a better life. The spending money is amazing but it’s the communication with people who maybe feel invisible to the world. Thank you Nate, you have a big channel but I hope you see this comment and know you are amazing!

Brother, thank you for posting this video. I too try to help anybody I can who is in need, I'm not yet in the financial position to do as much as you do for people, but I'm able to do a little bit, I can hand somebody a 20 here and there, and honestly it feels amazing to be able to do that for others. My goal is to be able to do as much as you do for people. Much love and respect. 😀
