I'm an attorney. I've only ever met one other judge with so much empathy. They're usually so cynical and jaded. He has a gift to see into peoples lives and then feel an oblibgation to help. It's also beautiful and brave of the lady to explain so clearly that homelessness, family issues, autism, loss of job are what she's having to survive at this time in her life.

I believe he is also very God-fearing, which makes him an even better man to me. He doesn't just "let people off", he uses his mental abilities, experience, and a lot of understanding and empathy to make his decisions. As far as how much he worked or not, I'm sure that he at least looked through the docket every day to know what he was dealing with. That would take anyone 1-2 hrs per day, then he did his job with respect and dignity for another few hours. They also had filming & audio crews there, which adds a bit to the complexity. There's also the large amount of work/support that he has done outside of his job for his community, friends, and family. This is the kind of man that all men should strive to be, period. I have been and will continue to pray for his full healing from the cancer he's fighting. He is a true gem of humanity and should be fully recognized as just that. I only know him from videos, but I believe everything I've written here and until someone shows me otherwise, my views and thoughts about him, and what he has done will stay that way.

Thank you so much by helping this young lady. I have worked with autistic children. For many the challenges last their entire lifetime. It would definitely be advantageous to see if she qualifies to live in a group home. Paying $100 within a month on a waitress wage would be difficult. Prayers for her safety and a better life. Judge Caprio, you obviously continue to make your mother proud. Your deeds of kindness and understanding are a lesson to all of us. ​@@realemonful, I think Courtney Furlotte is correct. The judge in his wisdom purposely did not pay off $100 bcs he wanted her to come back so he could see her/check on her like she's a daughter. God bless the judge. It's also good to make her take some responsibility. The judge in all his wisdom makes decisions that not only help those who are truly in need of help but at the same time teach them something so indirectly he helps shape their character. His judgements always leave me humbled!

Whenever I need some renewed faith in humanity, I watch these videos. Nowhere else can I see such kindness and generosity by the Judge, but also ownership and accountability from those in his court. You wanna give her a hug....she seems so sweet and nice despite everything she's going through, and is struggling to keep it together in the beginning. It's really ludicrous in a nation as prosperous as ours that anybody should have to go hungry, or without a decent home or not be paid enough for a decent standard of living. We have a tiny percentage of people with more wealth than hundreds of millions of citizens combined...just them paying a fraction of the taxes they should be paying could do so much for so many people. It makes me angry thinking about it. Here's hoping things turn around for you man.
