I'm an attorney. I've only ever met one other judge with so much empathy. They're usually so cynical and jaded. He has a gift to see into peoples lives and then feel an oblibgation to help. It's also beautiful and brave of the lady to explain so clearly that homelessness, family issues, autism, loss of job are what she's having to survive at this time in her life.

I believe he is also very God-fearing, which makes him an even better man to me. He doesn't just "let people off", he uses his mental abilities, experience, and a lot of understanding and empathy to make his decisions. As far as how much he worked or not, I'm sure that he at least looked through the docket every day to know what he was dealing with. That would take anyone 1-2 hrs per day, then he did his job with respect and dignity for another few hours. They also had filming & audio crews there, which adds a bit to the complexity. There's also the large amount of work/support that he has done outside of his job for his community, friends, and family. This is the kind of man that all men should strive to be, period. I have been and will continue to pray for his full healing from the cancer he's fighting. He is a true gem of humanity and should be fully recognized as just that. I only know him from videos, but I believe everything I've written here and until someone shows me otherwise, my views and thoughts about him, and what he has done will stay that way.

I have been homeless in my life, sometimes its an unfortunate reality circumstances end up like that, and being homeless is…. Its really the lowest low, no real shelter and no idea how long you will survive in brutal sun or rain/snow. Judge Caprio here gives a glimmer of good heartedness. I can speak to how valuable that is… For a few short months I was reliant on a food pantry and when I finally found a job, a local church donated a tank of gas for my car to be able to get there till I had my first payroll. This was almost 15 years ago now and I no longer am anywhere near rock bottom. People… I will always humbly remember those who helped me off the ground, paying that forward from a place of memory to others in need is the best feeling. Also , that musician didn’t hesitate to step in as well. Bravo to him!

Poor pumpkin. Everyone talking about giving props to the judge but no one is talking about how well this girl spoke for herself and represented herself with autism!!! She seems so sweet and well adjusted, surprised by the eye contact as well. Hope this poor kiddo is doing better. Also no idea the premise of this show as I’m seeing in comments

It's called "Caught in Providence" it's Traffic Court. Paula Abdul got stopped and went in front of Judge Caprio. They didn't air her case but, there was a man who was standing with her who was a fan and either wanted to sing a few bars with her or do a few dance steps, I don't recall. I think they sang for the Judge.

Whenever I need some renewed faith in humanity, I watch these videos. Nowhere else can I see such kindness and generosity by the Judge, but also ownership and accountability from those in his court. I wish more people could recognize that just because we look like we have it together, 95% of us are struggling with something. Being kind to one another is our entire purpose in life.
