You guys I’m so sorry about my “baby voice” talking to Bradley 😂 hearing myself talk I’m like “wow you are annoying” 💀💀💀
@alexz846215 сағат бұрын
Nah, everyone does this with their babies. We all know Chris is squeaking like that off camera 😂
@Trollololman11115 сағат бұрын
Using a “baby voice” when speaking to babies, also known as infant-directed speech (IDS) or “parentese,” serves several developmental and communicative purposes. Here’s why it’s effective and common: 1. Attracts Attention: • Babies are more likely to focus on high-pitched, sing-song voices, as they naturally capture their attention better than monotone or adult-directed speech. 2. Supports Language Development: • The exaggerated pitch, slower tempo, and clear articulation of words make it easier for babies to distinguish sounds, syllables, and words. This helps them learn the patterns of language. 3. Conveys Emotion and Bonding: • A warm, affectionate tone helps build emotional connection and trust. Babies respond positively to the soothing and encouraging tone of “baby talk.” 4. Encourages Interaction: • The exaggerated expressions and intonation encourage babies to engage in “conversation,” even if it’s just cooing or babbling back. This interaction is foundational for developing communication skills. 5. Simplifies Language: • Baby talk often involves shorter, repetitive sentences or words, which are easier for babies to process and mimic as they start learning to speak. 6. Matches Their Perception: • Babies’ hearing is more sensitive to higher-pitched sounds, so baby talk naturally aligns with the frequencies they are most attuned to. Using “baby voice” is a natural, instinctive behavior that helps nurture babies’ cognitive, social, and emotional growth!

A good book that has shifted my perspective on “setting goals” is James Clear’s Atomic Habits. He mentions that we do not rise to the levels of our goals, but fall to the levels of our systems. In other words, it’s best to create an environment that focuses on incremental improvement (1% better each day) to achieve your goals.

“As your attorney” lol. I have been down this hybrid road you speak of. My guess is you won’t like the look once used to being jacked. One does lose muscle running often and the arms, chest, leg size all comes down. Sounds cool until you see it and realize you want to go back and grow everything back because you like being jacked more. In my profile pic I was focused on running. All I’m saying is you only get the results you train for. I’m now only running 30min or elliptical. I’d take jacked look over endurance look any day.

I'd love to know what Chris's "TRT" dose is. :) this must actually be really psychologically difficult for him as a long time user. You'd have thought a dramatic drop in mass is going to occur over the next few months. Be interesting to see the transformation.
@justasquatspecialist16 сағат бұрын
i think that pivoting goals will be crucial. “how big can i be period” vs “how big can i be on doctor prescribed doses with perfect bloodwork while being able to run/bike/jump” will lead you down slightly different roads but you can appreciate the psychological victory in both if you look hard enough
@chrisd199016 сағат бұрын
Well in my experience, when you come off cycle you immediately start to lose muscle and struggle to maintain condition. Don't matter how clean you eat. Your goals have to take that in to account. For example you are not going to get stronger and more jacked on a TRT dose if your starting point is Olympia champion. 😃
@justasquatspecialist15 сағат бұрын
@@chrisd1990 i mean that your goals will be relative. like “how big can i stay in 1-2 years on doctors doses doing x cardio”

Whats up Chris! Never say never, we always do for tomorrow as well, not just for today. Therefore, if I were a small piece in your corner, I'd say leave the bent over work so you can stay competitive. I'd say lying down T-Bars; Get awesome at those now that you have time off, it will also allow your posterior chain to stay fresh for cardio days and a leg day. Look at Seth Feroce now with all the cross fit stuff he did, you can do all that stuff but staying smart in terms of a possible come back is important. yes, yes, yes, I am NEVER competing, but you never know. To add to your point, some times, being in the moment allows you to be in the moment, nothing will ever get done to a high standard if you do not do that but you can still be aware of the next task. When one task is done well, there is also momentum going into the next. Enjoy the break, on a break for a week now and I am baking like a mad man but of course staying tight with my over calorie in take. Here is a small secret, when you take time to get in shape and you do so with higher calories, when you have time off, you can still take in higher calories and the chance of over eating becomes much lower. I am on 4300cals, light deficit where I can still build and time off, i can eat5000 cals.
