Wow, you make this seem so easy. Another Van life You Tuber in BC just had a double amputee . You may have heard of him. Jeffie Bear is his handle. He had a cargo van but is still looking forward to getting another and roaming the BC out backs. I think your video could give him a lot of inspiration. He is still in hospital , I think Naniamo, but not sure. Maybe check his channel and share your video. That is if you haven't already. I like the lift for your chair. It sure beats having a ramp. May I ask what the lift is called ? I could use one for my scooter which only weighs 100 lbs. I always thought those lifts had to go in the back, I'd prefer where yours is though. I can walk but not very far, stairs are a no no.

yes i tried to contact Jeffie but my message got lost in the masses. A lot of people are lovin on him. My lift is called a Hi Lift. I think the limit might be about 75 lbs. Not sure though

@@out-spokenwheelsonwheels5870 I told Jeffie about your vidio and suggested he watch it. Also someone else did the same. I think he my because I got a thumbs up message back. I don't know how long you have been volging ( if this is the right word) but you are in a unique situation, an inspiration to many. I can see your Tube growing. One thought, maybe look into a better speaker system for when driving down the highways to rid the road noise. It overtakes your thoughtful words. You may have noticed that already. I don't mean to be critical, I find your life interesting and want to hear more of it plus further thoughts. ❤🙏🙏❤

I was not aware of this type of lift. I thought the only option was something that took up half the van and added a ton of weight. This is pretty awesome.
@out-spokenwheelsonwheels58702 жыл бұрын
That big heavy type is what they originally showed me and it would have made camping impossible. I am glad we found this other one. It does have a weight limit of 75 lbs so would not work for an electric chair but is great for a manual one.

Wow. You have got that sorted. Some of the positions you put your arms in I couldn't do as I have had 2 frozen shoulders and I only have 80 per cent movement. Xx
@out-spokenwheelsonwheels58702 жыл бұрын
Ya I have to keep moving or mine will freeze as well. When I sit to long I have to move slowly until mobility comes back. Not fun having bad shoulders.

Girl, I can just see you at a camper van meet up, you will be dazzling everyone, this video is so great, when ever anyone asks you for the 10,000th time how you do it, instead of saying “voodoo” “magic” or “sorcery” you can just send them to this video, and make them promise to subscribe 😂😂😂 you will be FAMOUS! My husband has CP and requires forearm crutches. He used to get asked frequently WHY he needs them, now that we are almost 55 and look like grand parents people must just assume it’s cuz we’re old lol. But you know how rude, invasive, or inappropriate people can be, so when we were younger we came up with 3-4 different stories depending on their attitude when asking. Seriously, we could be in an elevator and get asked. WHY? You don’t know him, will probably never see us again, and it’s really no one’s business, but I digress lol, those people get the “my knee caps were blown off in WW2” (like Cotton from King Of The Hill) did I mention we are 55? But 100% of the time we’ve gotten the all knowing nod. Of course we adore when kids inquire, they are almost always curious if “it” hurts, and once they find out it doesn’t if appropriate, he lets them check out his crutches, tells them how to launch themselves with them, but they usually want use them as guns lol, boys that is. I sure wish you were here in the States and could make it to a meet up, I just love the van life culture, everyone is so nice!
@out-spokenwheelsonwheels58702 жыл бұрын
LOL! You are hilarious and completely accurate in what people ask about. I never thought about making up stories for them. That is a great idea. Ha ha. Do you go to Quartzite at all? Which meet ups do you go to? I was at Quartzite in January and was at Adventure Van Man's meet up. it was great. I will hopefully be back again to Arizona next January - Aprilish. Keep an eye on my channel and let me know if I am ever in your area. It would be great to have a meet.

Thank you for sharing. Lots of moving parts. Are all the moving parts run by the car battery. Do you carry an extra one or a solar generator just in case battery depletes. ☮️🌻 Enjoying your channel.
@out-spokenwheelsonwheels58702 жыл бұрын
Thanks Trish. Yes they are all run on the car battery. It is tough on the battery when I am riding up to the seat and it has popped the fuse a few times when it was cold. But the fuse is set to reset itself and restart so I do not become stranded. If I ever get an extra battery (besides the Jackery) in my van I may get the two lifts connected to that instead.
