Ive always liked that in Europe you can drive a few hours and be in a different country compared to Australia where you drive over 1000kms just to get to the next city where its much of the same thing. I look forward to your Galipoli experience!

Lol...yes agree 100%....1000kms gets you Sydney to Brisbane...here the same gets you 6 countries or more if you plan it right and all with unique differences.

We had no x-ray check but they have all the facilities there to do it. Very strict and high tech crossing.

The Bulgary borderpolice checked me two times with the x-ray. But they was always polite. The worce borderpassing i have experienced was the Swedish border police in Malmø. They acted like nazies.

Hi mate...from 1 June no more COVID testing requirements. You just need passport and your car Rego papers including insurance, pretty straight forward. Safe trip.

Yes they take pictures. They have a camera and ask you to get out of the car and have picture taken. No fingerprints.

Yes, we had to show at the border. PCR 72 hours prior or Rapid 48 hours prior or full vaccination certificate. Also you need to complete an online locator form. This is the free one here register.health.gov.tr/ don't get scammed and pay for the online form, it is free on the official government site and you do not need to pay for it.
