Thanks for your reporting out of Ukraine. I visited the exclusion zone with a private tour back in September 2021. It is horrible what since then happend to Ukraine. In Februrary this year I drove with a van to Kyiv to deliver humanitarian aid and met up with a former female guide of the exclusion zone. She showed me the destruction around Kyiv. Just horrible 😔.So keep up your work to show the world the situation in Ukraine. Greetings from Germany.

Thanks my friend for the comment and the kind words. That's my aim now to keep spreading the message for the world to see. I am in and out of Ukraine every 6 weeks doing aid runs out of Bucharest. If you ever want to come along again and meet some great people, let me know. My mate Neil from the UK flys in as well and we drive to Ukraine from here. Thanks also for your aid run. 👍👌

Came for a car stereo video, stayed for the view. Sad sight. Sad to see the orcs destroying so much beauty. Chernobyl was a sight to see. Hope to visit it one day. The place that made us quit drinking dairy for a while. Even though we were far west of Europe. Stay safe.

Appreciate the comment mate. My channel started as just a dump of raw driving videos, no frills, no cheesy music over the top etc, just my hobby away from work. Since the war started it has really become a platform for me to try and continue showing the world what the orcs are doing in Ukraine. I am in and out every 6 weeks delivering aid and doing things in country. We need to keep the narrative going as Ukraine is fighting a war against a maniac who has zero respect for the rest of us and we need to continue to support them. If you ever want to come for a run there, make your way to Bucharest and you can come with us. We are also trying to get private groups back into Chernobyl slowly, to try and revive the sector a bit and get some jobs back. If we get 5 people willing to pay a set price, we can get another trip together and it is really a very private tour as its so hard to get the permissions. So reach out anytime. Again thanks for the comments mate, if you know anybody passionate about helping Ukraine, please share the channel or videos. I subd to your channel. Might pick your brains one day about ham radio, I am ex military so communication kit is near and dear to my heart. 👍👌🍻. Cheers.

Id be too paranoid to touch anything in that area 😂 But its so scary that the worlds worst nuclear disater has had an active war all over it. Especially when 97% of the a tive radiation is still there under that tin can
@BitsofEurope2 ай бұрын
Yeh its a scary thought that after all those years, Russian troops dug in and exposed large amounts of radiation that are beneath the surface. Most areas even near the arch are quite normal, but driving past the Red Forest areas, the dosimeters still go off like mad. If you took the private tour while the zone was still open, part of it is actually inside the 'tin can' or new containment vessel, which in turn contains the old remnants and shielding. Also fascinating that the plant still operates as an electricity hub, monitoring and diverting electricity around the grid nationally. One of the old control rooms for Reactor 1 is still used to do this and its like a throw back to the old Soviet times, you walk in and the staff are in the white gowns and hats, air is full of smoke as signs on the wall still say 'smoking permitted'. 😁 Fascinating place. Been back twice now during the occupation and probably go again over winter.

Did I hear correctly about the bio robots on the roof being allowed 4 minutes to clear as much graphite and other debris from the roof as they possibly could during the clean up, fyi it wasn't 4 minutes the bio robots got on the roof it was approximately 90 seconds
@BitsofEurope4 ай бұрын
Yeh could have been 90 seconds, 4 minutes stuck in my head for some reason.

Where is all the buried stuff like helicopters etc?
@BitsofEurope3 ай бұрын
There are a couple of sites near Chernobyl town where stuff was buried, the largest was at Buryakivka village, but its all buried now. Only a few things remain, in Pripyat itself is the old garage and machine working sheds and they still have few vehicles there including the claw from a crane used to remove rubble and its still a little radioactive. The Russians in 2022 during the brief occupation of Chernobyl actually stripped parts off these old vehicles including tyres over 30 years old! So most buried in Buryakivka and the rest cut up and melted.

how about now in 2024 is it safe? ive heard people say mines are a problem
@BitsofEurope3 ай бұрын
It's safe on the known roads and tracks. Chernobyl town and Pripyat are ok. Some of the areas where the Russians dug in I would still not trust, but those areas are not the best to visit anyway given the elevated radiation rates after the Russians dug in there and disturbed a lot of the radiation in the red forest soil.

@@BitsofEurope awesome i really appreciate the feedback! do you know by any chance if stalkers are still active within the zone still?
@BitsofEurope2 ай бұрын
Sorry for late reply. Yes they are mate, they have started again, but mainly the local stalkers and the usual ones we see on YT. The area is under martial law and military control and if you got caught in the zone now there is a good chance you might see jail time and you also risk getting shot. The Ukrainian Armed Forces obviously want to ensure that no force ever crosses in that direction again and have heavily fortified the area, anyone seen creeping around in the dark or running around is likely to get shot as I said.

they really took away the monument? the russians?

The monument is still there, its on the other side of the new containment vessel, in the small carpark, we were at it later on.
