This run through isn't going to be a typical first run through. Yeah he started out with a new account, but keep in mind he is an experienced player prior to starting a new account. Be prepared to die about 15-20 times before extracting for the first time on customs. PMCs are everywhere on top of the SCAVs just looking for new players to pick off.

Thanks for making this, most of the beginner playthrough videos I see use an Edge of Darkness account and then use the extra large container to put all the stuff they find and also use the extra gear they get. Which really seems to defeat the entire purpose of it being a "beginner" video in the first place

When I first started I kept doing scav runs in Customs to learn the map and run it more efficiently with PMC.

This is all personal preference and I don't think there would be a huge difference between DPI and in-game sense combos. I personally stay on a DPI where I'm comfortable moving around the inventory system, which is 800 DPI, since that's the DPI I've been using on my desktop for ages. Then sensitivity comes down to personal feel! Lots of trial and error brother. Feel out what works for you!

For reference this game runs smooth as shit on my 9 year old CPU paired with GTX 1060 and 8 gigs of ram. The 1060 is really cheap and if you can pair it with literally anything that isn't 9 years old, you're golden.

I seem to only survive my scav runs, not sure what I differently than taking a free kill or two right in the beginning when you spawn near friendly scavs. I die so quickly in my pmc runs

It's a bit of a normal thing - I'd say that's a mental game at that point! As a scav, you've got nothing to lose so you play at your full potential. Then your PMC run comes around and it has way more tension. The fact that you can do well in scav runs mean you're good at the game! It's all a mental game at this point. You got this man! 🙌

@@2pie3rs4life you'll get it over time! Just keep playing. Once you've learned a bit more of map knowledge like where people are usually at and cheeky angles, you'll spot them quicker than before through experience. Takes time but worth!

Make sure you have the correct shotguns. I'm assuming you're talking about the MP-133? Just have it in your inventory then turn it via the Tasks tab in a specific trader.

That's what your Scav runs are for. You can choose to play as a Scav (take over an AI position in the game) and if you make it to the extraction you can keep anything you have on your Scav. They usually don't have good equipment, but it'S still way better than running on an axe/knife only. After using it once it has a 20 minute cooldown.

Britbong If it was a silencer, it would make it silent. Meaning no sound. Suppressors suppress sound, meaning it reduces the amount that can be heard.

On a side note, I didn't state it was a fresh wipe guide. Newbies can come into the game at any point of a wipe. Early, mid, or late. Technically, this can be a first raid. But you have a fair point! This was recorded late wipe into 0.11.7. Appreciate the feedback!

This video's intention was to show you guys what it's like to get into your first raid, from what to click to where to accept your first tasks. There's no real way to simulate a real new player's first raid with variables that are out of our control (enemy players, unpredictable AI, etc). Unless we get paid actors. Lol.

Seriously? I found this quite watchable.. I'll take fast talking and quick thinking over people who constantly pause mid sentence to figure out what to say.. so hard to watch.. 👍👌✌
