She is at least part asian we eat lots of veggies, and are sometimes more strict with upbringing like its more of you eat whats on your plate or go hungry type many asians live in poor conditions and you should be grateful that you even get to eat that broccoli I myself love it. But sometimes kids will do what you ask because they dont know because they dont know how you would react with the parents they know how so they can be rebelious just because it is the parents.

Apparently, Broccoli is very loved amongst Japanese kids. In Pixar movie "Inside Out", there is a scene with a kid that doesn't want to eat her broccoli; in the Japanese version of the movie, Pixar replaced the broccoli with a green bell pepper, because Japanese kids wouldn't be able to make sense of a kid being disgusted by broccoli

i have to imagine its true that traditional asian dishes have a lot more vegetables than typical american kids are used to. i have to admit that, immediately, i thought that maybe she was just extremely harshly disciplined (also typical in asian families, though this could be a stereotype), but she didnt seem at all fearful in any way about the food or the situation, so i assume she just has more exposure to the vegetable than any of the other kids.

My personal theory about why kids don't like their veggies, especially broccoli, is that it's because their parents don't know how to cook vegetables right. They have a tendency to just... steam them. That doesn't taste good. Roast them, toss them with some herbs and spices, incorporate them into the full meal, don't just pile some steamed veggies on the side of the plate, no one wants to eat that. I remember the day I introduced a friend to basic spices beyond salt, pepper, and "Italian seasoning." It was like their world expanded in front of their eyes. Basically, we need to make cooking more accessible and actually teach everyone how to cook, it's a basic skill and veggies are delicious.

When Grapes Pop A sketch is defined as "a short humorous play or performance" which yeah they created the idea to make kids eat broccoli and they made it into a performance, I think sketches can still be unscripted ?
