You mentioned the sling getting in the way on reloads. I have the same problem. For me, running the sling under my left armpit seems to help. Granted you have the length set that works for you. Great video! Always informative, helpful and entertaining.

That AK is actually sick dude. I'd really like to get a nice 5.56 AK that resembles an AK74 aesthetically. The PSA 101 seems to have a lot of serious problems so I'm not wasting money on that. Dunno what other options exist. The Beryl is not an option--I simply do not like it.

Not trying to poop on you, but how do you feel comfortable shooting steel that close with an intermediate cartridge? Maybe it’s farther away than it seems but it looked closer than 100 yd in the footage. Have you ever gotten spalling back? I’ve always wanted to shoot Steel that close but I’ve always been afraid for my wife’s safety as she normally shoots with me.

If setup right the steel is angled down so any spalling goes into the dirt under the target. The closest I've shot steel is about 15 yards with 9mm that was a few hundred rounds without any problems. We shoot a steel activator target with pistols at an indoor range during matches at about 20 yards.

Mild steel straight on would be sketchy. Hardened armor/target steel, hung at a slight angle is fine, even with full power rifle calibers with mild steel jackets (e.g. 7.62x51).

It used to be at Big Piney Sportsman's Club, but it's now been moved to the Lead Farm at Versailles, MO. I think I read that it may have been due to Big Piney banning full auto, but I don't know if that's the reason. The last match was May 10-12. They usually have one in winter and one in spring/summer.
