Agree. Love this family so much and I'm not gonna preach because it's not my kid so not my business but damn a belt just across the lap will potentially not stop him flying either into the back of Jackson or out of his seat if the car rotates. Not to mention the neck loads where it's insecure, either way it wouldn't be a good ending. Just KZbin lap belt crash tests 😫😫😫😫

Alyssa Allen that really defeats the point in wearing your seatbelt. You rarely find cars with lap belts nowadays. If he is uncomfortable with a shoulder belt than he should be in a booster seat or a harness. Sorry, better be safe than sorry! How old are you this is not the 80s there are strict rules for being restrained.

Anna Huynh oh I know that, I’m saying as a kid I never wore the shoulder belt. It choked me. And i was perfectly fine. I understand if there were a crash it would’ve helped more than just the lap belt but I was fine.

Alyssa Allen I never understood the "I'm still alive" defense. I've survived many hundreds of flights, but I don't wander the isles while landing. Being on the favorable side of statistics doesn't make unsafe choices "perfectly fine". Toddlers left home alone can and do survive, it doesn't mean it isn't illegal, dangerous and stupid. Cocaine and cigarette use was once suggested to improve your health....we become better educated and laws change to reflect improved safety standards.
