Nightmares still stop me from just sleeping in the middle of nowhere. I'm the most veteran player of my friendgroup and they laugh when I refuse to just carry around a bed to sleep. Put a strong habit in me.

the when pigs fly achievement triggered because the dead body of the pig didn't leave yet you can tell because of its shadow being present even though it died the game still had to give the fall damage

I actually really liked the On a Rail Achievement. I wish it was still in the game. It encouraged players to use the Minecarts more and by going out a thousand blocks, you'd find a bunch more world generation that would encourage building. I guess doing the achievement just for the achievement is the reason why it would be tedious, because that's your only goal. Getting it done. Anyway, good video. :)

I'm actually thinking about doing this in my current survival world lol I know it's not in the game anymore but still. Pretty much everyone uses elytras these days but I definitely prefer just using horses and rails

This video really took me back to middle school. I remember being picked on at school and saying something about being so excited to get home and finally try minecraft for 360. My bully realized I had a 360 and this began a friendship than involved us playing MW3 and minecraft... I really sucked at call of duty but, I'll never forget playing those games on my dad's projector. I'll never forget blowing up my friends capsule home in minecraft by placing tnt by his door pressure plate, or building a minecraft hotel, just playing with friends... good memories. Thanks

fun fact: before beta 1.8, there were only 10 biomes. they were rainforest, seasonal forest, forest, swampland, plains, shrubland, savanna, desert, taiga, and tundra. they were decided entirely by the randomly generated rainfall and heat values that also controlled the colour of the grass and leaves, and they also didnt show up in the f3 menu.

I like the old achievement menu design not just one block on background. But ,for me, old achievement are very easy you get for every step exept 2 one of which is boring, annoying because of bugs(pigs fly).The only cool achievement, I think, is to run 1,000 blocks of rail it very cool and relaxing, unque not just make very basic things like made wooden sword, punch cow

To do the on a rail achievement, I made a bunch of minecart boosters (a bug until beta 1.6) which was MUCH faster

10:39 You've just unlocked a fairly obscure memory of mine! I didn't understand the F3 menu, though I think I understood i could toggle it with F3. It looked super advanced and beyond my comprehension. I saw the numbers over the heads of monsters under the sand and I almost thought it was Herobrine or something. Super spooky. And I think I went in there and found my first dungeon, just covered in a thin layer of sand.

I totally forgot just how slow the game was back then lol not sure if I'll ever go back to this far, but you did just inspire me to keep going on my current 1.20 world. I think I'll try to avoid using elytra or at the very least limit how often I use it, because idk there's just something satisfying about that rail towards the end of the video. Hey, slap, love the vid. I just remembered something that might've helped you with "on a rail", back in the day, minecarts that where next to eachother shared there speed. Some old players abused that mechanich to make booster pods by there rails, which then boosted there minecarts to go faster than what normal powered rails would allow.

I know you said the pig and minecart achievements took a long time, but from producing content myself I know that you've likely worked on those achievements a lot longer than the editing made it seem. Sometimes for 2 seconds of a Short I end up spending 15 minutes building something; I applaud your dedication to that goal. I see a lot of potential with your channel, if you continue producing high-quality videos like this one. I see that you're a variety channel too, which is respectable. While there's nothing wrong with niching down, following your creative passions instead is a lot more rewarding (in my opinion). My god, the bed placement was one of the 1st things I've ever had to look up on the Wiki for Minecraft. Iirc, there was a chart that says to keep the bed 2 blocks away from the outside of the home walls. That shit was way too punishing for new players at the time. Mojang should bring this feature back. Made the game a bit more exciting.

I think this would be much more enjoyable as an edited live commentary. To actually hear your thoughts and be part of the moment, instead of you going a million miles an hour, fueled by your fear of us getting distracted and clicking off. This video just stresses me out, and that is not something I enjoy. I wanna hear your thought process when you realise it's 1000 blocks, and how you're gonna achieve that, you running in trouble and resolving it. I wanna see how you got into that cave where you found your first diamonds, how it connects to your house. I wanna see you build that rather nice-looking house. I wanna see you taking your time. That's what's fun. Not rushing it. The video isn't more fun because you're closer to getting all the achievements. It's fun because you get to experience your personality, your state of mind, and almost bond a little with you. That's what early let's plays were, and it was a great time because the video maker was having a great time. You could fit so much culture, sentimentalism, and heart into such few blocks.
