The upwards teleporting when relogging was fixed in a 1.3 snapshot. It could be done with any block that obstructed the player hitbox, including trapdoors which allowed you to do it with a single player and no minecart. It was a somewhat popular instant elevator and a great way to get out of caves.

@@nickolaswilcox425 Oh yeah, certainly. Any of the PCs I used to use back in the Beta days would have crashed. They were so bad, that the F3 screen with its updating lag chart used to get so large it covered the x/y/z coordinates. I often had to quit/re-enter the world to see my coords again.

Yep, game checks within a certain range of the block being broken and only limits you if you're in that range. If you can insta break and stay more than a couple blocks back from the one you're mining you can mine everything incredibly fast because of it.

the thing most ppl dont know is that click mining still works without mods, just a bit differently in multiplayer. If you press RMB like 0.2 seconds before block breaks u can actually trick the game into skipping the delay due to the "no-swing mining bug fix". to my understanding the premise is almost the same except in this case you use RMB to reset timer instead of 're-leftclicking'. once u get used to timing u'll nail it Edit: i should probably specify that what im talking about was patched in beta 1.8pre

Intrestingly the Chest bug actually works for more blocks other than chests. How the bug works was that if you place a block on a water source block, the code to check if the block placement is valid or not is ignored, so you can have things like flowers in stone or cactus next to blocks.

The triple chest bug is not weird at all in my opinion. Clicking on a chest opens the inventory of that chest and any other chest(s) adjacent to it, so when you click the left or the right chest, you only see that chest and the middle one in the chest menu, while clicking the middle chest shows you all of them, since the other two are adjacent to the one you clicked.

7:41 this bug also existed on earlier versions of bedrock, up untill around 1.16/17, it could also be used to recover lost inventories if u died in lava or the void or something like that

Still happens now because it's based on how the game saves. The game saves everything in a certain order so - in SP at least - if the game crashes or you force the game to crash (like by pulling the cart on Switch) at the correct timing while it's auto saving you can dupe whatever you want. I have like 4 copies of my main gear and several Shulkers at this point because I died or something and then the game crashed while saving so it was on the ground and my character because it hadn't saved my inventory yet but the chunks (like the one in which I had died where my gear was now on the ground) had saved. Of course it also works in the other way and has lost me some things as well. Sometimes you, say, pick up a Shulker from a chunk yet to be saved and place it in a chunk that has already been saved and then the game crashes. The one that was already saved didn't have it and the one it was in saved after you picked it up so now it also doesn't have it meaning it's gone because they don't save your inventory in the middle of saving chunks. They need to get rid of auto save or at least allow you to turn it off. It does nothing but harm performance. I'd rather lose an hour of work than an entire Shulker of things that might've taken weeks to acquire. A ton of games have dupe bugs like this, Gen 1 and 2 Pokémon as well as 6 (because apparently they forgot about Gen 1's so they allowed it to happen again, lol).

The fence bug was caused by one simple mistake. The hitbox of the fence on the client was 1.5 blocks tall (as it should be), but on the _server_, it was 2 blocks tall for some reason.

I saw glimpses of a world that I recognized but couldn't quite put my finger on it until i saw the minecart logout perpetual motion bug, I love how you used the X's adventures in minecraft world for alot of these, wonder how many people noticed that.

There was also the dupe bug in beta 1.8 where if you put an item in an inventory space like a crafting table then had water push you through a nether portal it would split the item into 2, one that you can pick up and one that you could and couldn’t. Essentially having an infinite source of the item until it despawned

The extended chests bug was patched for a good reason: If you messed around with it too much it would crash the game, and if I remember correctly would immediately crash again every time that chunk was loaded, rendering that world unusable.

The being able to climb ladders with 1 block gap between them bug was only in the game for a fraction of Minecraft's life, but strangely I remember it being possible to do so more than not. Even now I find myself trying to save resources by placing ladders like that.

I remember there being a period of time after they fixed the ladder thing, where you could leave a gap between ladders and still climb them, that I would be annoyed when downloading adventure maps because they would still have the gapped ladders.

It's fascinating to know how much trouble notch and jeb really went through as the bugs were more exposed. I also agree on the people actually liking some of the bugs since it's a little trick which is not game breaking but funny or very accomplishing when you utilize it such as gapped stairs (probably the most famous of bugs), miking the squid and click breaking. The last one requires proper skill and doesn't even give you that much of a buff, I really hope it wasn't "patched" because it would have made an amazing minigame for people to try and become faster and better at mining.

interesting exploit in the Console Edition era of Minecraft was where you could disable block gravity. Because of the limited hardware on console, they had to limit how many blocks could fall at a single time. So if you had sand blocks falling onto a fence post, the sand block would get suspended just above the post and if you did that enough times(i believe the number was 22 for some reason) blocks affected by gravity would no longer fall

The teleportation bug used to work in an old version of MCPE and when I say old i mean OLD like the era when Minecraft Lite and the Nether Reactor existed. The way I would execute the glitch is by two ways: A door or sand. If you were inside a door when you logged out, you would log back in at any valid 2 block high space up. If you used sand, you would have a 3 block high space, look up and place the sand on the roof so you'll be covered by sand so when you log out your covered by that sand and when you log back in you'll log back at the top

For the chest glitch, I've made some giant chests with it, and it doesn't need to be a water source block to register as connected. as long as there's water on the block, it WILL make register to make a triple/quadruple/quintuple and more chest. That was certainly fun to exploit when I was making a personal discontinued items area on a server, just put a water bucket in one area, put the chests I needed for the big chest area in and I was good also I think quintuple and up CAN crash your game, it might be quadruple and up though, triple chests are completely fine to use (I would abuse them in beta for storage of pork in particular)

Item duplication through nether portal was so damn OP back in Beta 1.7.3. The funniest thing, duplicated items kept being glitched till version 1.20.1

-MC 1.4 or 1.5 also had a glitch to create a giant wither by using it's negative growth value.. -MC 1.7.0 had a glitch where the bed being one side inverted.. -Through MC Beta 1.8 it was possible to enable the Aether Dimension by changing some save-file values..

There was a bug in earlier versions of Minecraft that if you logged in, you couldn't log out. The game would let you, the button worked, but it was impossible to make your finger click on the "log out" button.

It's quite sad that the huge screenshot feature was removed. Sure your regular screenshot sould not be 2 GB, but it'd be nice to have an option to set the resolution you want your screenshot to be taken at. This way, you could take 4K screenshots of your builds even if you have a 1080p monitor, it'd be quite nice to make desktop backgrounds and stuff

There used to be an old duplication exploit of mobile. How it would work is simple. You can tap to take prices from an item stack one by one from a chest. Or you could hold to take the entire stack. The exploit is simple, 2-3 people tap on a 64 stack of any item, and 1 person would hold down on the stack. If it works you’re given several stacks of the item

If you farm wheat while standing on top, ypu drop below 1 block through the farm, Dunno if its bedrock only or patched but worked a few weeks ago. Was farming wheat when i fell throughthe ground. In a smp if your being chased down, you could have an escapehatch in a wheat field

A version of click mining exists on bedrock today. I use it on my ps5 world. It only really works on stone or similar strength blocks. If you press it only long enough for the block to break then you don't have to wait for the in game timer that keeps you from accidentally breaking other blocks to reset.

Click mining still exists, if you change your mining button to a key in the keyboard, the block breaking interval doesn't get applied, and you break blocks faster. This works in the most recent Minecraft version

The old bugs were the best since they were just in the game forever. To this day, I'm still confused whenever I try to insta eat food by clicking on a fence and it doesn't work. That was just so engrained in my mind.
