I love the wagon! For someone who had this same setup the 2 things Id look at are the valve cover gaskets and the valve seals! They tend to turn hard as acorns and you will use oil! Have a great trip!

I dig that trooper 2 in the background. We had an 89 and it had all sorts of cool folding flat seat features for camping and trails. I built up a 99 sport as an overlander, but miss the flat panels. I dig the big block wagon too. It's so American ❤

My folks had a 72 Mer ury Marquee station wagon with the 390ci v8. Lots of power and good burnouts. I was 17 and drove it a lot.

Nice work Isaac. R&R transmissions is not fun. I used to do a lot of them during my automotive career. At least yours is rear wheel drive. Transaxles are a pain in the ass! lol. Take care man!

Hey Isaac just a little tip here, next time clean, check and lube the torque converter pilot and crankshaft bore , sometimes that can cause vibration that can cause leaks from the torque converter not staying on center.👍🛠

Excellent video Issac :) also when fix transmission and back up your Reverse gear white light back up is burn out if want know that on right side one ! I once had a 1977 mercury Grand Marquis colony park station wagon with a 460 in it the only problem I was it burned up 2 transmissions the first one I could say it was just worn out but the second one was nearly new .

In a Ford fairlane.had to change out all of the frame mounts,engine mounts, cross members had to be fabricated) built the drive shaft from Troopers car.had to make some other changes to, stiffness for the front suspension,whole different rear .....u know.
