If you don't have a water pressure regulator you really need to use one on water hose at the campground hook up it will protect your campers plumbing

Sway bars can be dangerous! Driving slow through a low place can lift the rear wheels off the ground! This happened to me. I quickly put my truck into 4-wheel-drive to start going again as traffick was coming during rush hour! I don't use sway bars now!

OK, you are doing great, one suggestion would be I do not think you need to install the weight distribution hitch when you were driving. The purpose of that is to raise the back of the truck up and balance everything out but your tongue weight cannot be much and you have the ability to adjust on your truck already. I just think it’s extra work for you that you don’t need to worry about try driving it without it on And I think you’ll be surprised there is no difference and a lot less work

hi, The bars are also anti sway, not just weight distribution. But it's a small trailer so maybe not needed, but why take a chance!

I have a 30 foot bumper pull camping trailer (9,000 pounds) and I stopped using the sway-weight distribution bars after it almost caused a traffick wreck! After stopping for the STOP sign I drove across the street but the weight distribution bars lifted rear wheels off the ground leaving me stuck! I turned on the truck 4x4 to get going again. Never again used those damned bars again!

If you use the electric jack on the trailer to lift the back of the truck slightly to make hook ups a lot easier. Also, I just learned yesterday that you’re not supposed to use a drill on that type of jack. I still will but I will use it in slow mode. This is my 4th trailer and I’m still learning new tips. My best advice is to enjoy it and don’t make it a chore dealing with the trailer.

Keep the threads on the stabilizers lubed with a dry spray. We have used battery drill for years with no issues

Good luck on your adventure. If I where you I would invest in snap pads they are a game changer. Make sure you extension cord is 16 gauge.

12 AWG would be better.

With the ball still attached to the truck raise the hitch up really high. The sway bars will come off really easily then.
