Hello Randall thanks for taking us a long in this inspection. It looks you are just about ready for winter . Just a little more to do . When I used the Apiguard this year it shut my queen down for quite a while. It was longer than I thought it would. Thanks Randall

Randall as always thanks for taking the time to take us along! Our weather is just a slight bit warmer than yours as we’re in North Florida. We are getting ours as ready as possible for winter but we are blessed as we could probably feed all winter if necessary. There are very few days that our ladies aren’t able to move around and get out and fly! God Bless

I have never had an issue with rain or buckets blowing off. The bees glue the buckets down after a few days. I usually have to use hive tool to break them loose after a week. I do my winter o.a. treatment at the time of the least or hopefully no brood. Once a week for 3 weeks in a row between thanksgiving and christmas. I do this on days where temp is at least 48 degrees but less than 55 if possible. This temp window should have a loose cluster but minimal bee flight. I will do if above 55 if I have to but not below 45.

I appreciate it, I have a couple videos I have got to finish and get started for this year. Good to hear from you.

When you feed with the buckets over inner cover and top on bucket do you run risk of top blowing off or rain getting in? Also, when will you do oxalis acid?

What is the coldest average temp what to stop feeding?

For me I will stop feeding syrup when highs are consistently in 50's. Here is usually in early december thru late february. During that time when it's cold I use sugar bricks.

I didn’t see you marking the hives that you didn’t treat.
