WARNING: LOTS OF YELLING
( I have the flexibility of a stick)
please don’t rely on this video to increase your flexibility, this is what worked for me but I do have a dancing background and I get pushed by my teachers in China EXTREMELY hard, safety first!!
Hi friends ♡
Even with a dance background, I've always considered myself as a member of the stiff community. The last time I remember being somewhat capable of pushing myself down into a full split was when I was 9 or 10 👧🏻 BUT NO LONGER SHALL THAT BE!! I challenged myself to get my splits back in 2 weeks, and...gotta say. I'm pretty proud.
Like & subscribe and you'll make me cry a lil :')

A few tips to anyone tryna get their splits. :) Stretching should never hurt, you should feel a stretch but it should never sting or hurt, try to hold each stretch for 20 seconds, and if that is not enough go to 30 seconds, if you still need more go to 45 seconds but when stretching, it should never be longer then 45 seconds to avoid injury. Also try to stretch for at least 10 minutes a day unless you are in pain and need a break. When stretching you should always, always, always, always do both legs, never just One, if you do just one, you will have one leg that is much more flexible then the other and that can make stretches like the splits a lot more difficult. The depth or advancement of a stretch depends on you but always start slow and work your way from there. Don't try to go straight into the splits, that should be one of the very last stretches you do. All the stretches in this video are very intense. Try doing a butterfly sit, if you don't feel a stretch push your knees down as far as they can go, and if you still don't feel a stretch lean forward in the butterfly sit. You can try a standing pike stretch, start by standing up and lean forward trying to touch your knees, if you are able to go further down without causing pain, try touching your toes, then try to put your hands to sit flat on the ground. Once you get there you can work on pushing you chest closer to your legs or bending you arms in the standing pike stretch. Try a siting pike stretch, sit with your legs straight in front of you and try to touch your toes, if you can't that's okay, take it slow and don't rush. Just take it step by step and if you can only touch your knees, that is okay. If you can touch your toes and feel no stretch try to push your chest towards your legs. If you can do this all the way with your chest touching your legs then flex your feet in the stretch. Try to do the sitting pike stretch with one leg bent in: bend the other leg in at your knee and repeat the siting pike stretch. Try to do a pigeon stretch: this is like a side(front) split but with one leg bent in. Try moving your bent leg so that it forms a triangle and the heel of your foot is closer to touching your hip. If you are able to go further raise your hands up, if you are able to, lean forward in this stretch to help push your hip closer to the ground. You can try a straddle stretch, try sitting forward and make a v-shape with your legs. Once you have this lean one side of your body reaching your towards your leg, if you feel no stretch, reach closer to your leg. If you are able to touch the side of your body to your leg and still don't feel a stretch, sit back up and widen tour straddle then try the stretch again. If you are at the point were you have a wide straddle and can put your body all the way to you leg without feeling a stretch, flex your foot. But remember to always listen to your body, if your body hurts either stop that stretch or do not go as deep into the stretch. Taking it slow and allowing your body to take a break if your normal stretching starts to hurt will allow you to be able to keep your splits without pain or having an injury. The stretches I have listed made a good start for me but everyones body is different so if they make you uncomfortable you can always search hip and hamstring stretching videos up on youtube as there are many many stretches. Thank you for reading, if you have any questions please ask. I hope this helped you. :)

Am..like when I start doing splits regular in 5 days I had seen so much progress and pain but then after I decided to take a lil break because of the injury so I just massage my legs with warm oil soak my legs in warm water for a day and used some muscel pain cream and tie warm bandage for muscels but like still after 1 day break on 2 day it was still paining as hell...So I just take 2 day break too ya I am bit lazy so I thought I will take 3 day break too so it will be full recover after 3 day it was still paining a lil and when I tried to strech I can't do that I feel so sad and unmotivated after that ....And I literally want but unable to achieve that cause of the pain and the regular school or work cause I am not able to walk much after that can you please give me a tip for that
@pandora.z
@pandora.z Жыл бұрын
it can take up to three weeks to heel, you might have pulled your hamstring muscle. When I first tried getting my splits I pushed myself to wear I was in pain and It took over a week to heel. But as long as you are in pain do not stretch. It will make the injury worse. You hurt yourself and now you have to wait for your body to heel. Once you do get there and you can stretch again with no pain then I would recommend following along with Anna Mcnutly stretching videos, she is how I got my splits and oversplits. Also, beware when you over-stretch (do stretches that are painful or stretch when in pain) it can cause you to be less flexible. Stretching should never hurt.

I find your stretching reactions really funny and too relatable because I’ve danced for years but got my splits for the first time maybe a few years ago and my hip flexibility matches that of a potato. I’ll forever have memories of my 70 year old ballet teacher bringing out the stretch bands and saying “we’re gonna get your legs up higher in arabesque today” and the times she had us partner up, one person at the barre and one person behind pushing the leg up the way you did with charlie lmao

I love your Channel!! You amazing and Great !! I just wanna say when you went down that that onto your full splits and the next day not, is because you HAVE to warm up!! It’s really important , I can’t do my splits fully without warming up and stretching for 5 minutes least. Even if you are very flexible you have to stretch so your muscles don’t tear and feel more flexible to then do your Beautiful split.❤️❤️ you probably know this already lol!! But I just wanted to say it because i was on the same page a month ago when I wanted my splits 👍🧘‍♀️🤸‍♀️

I yelped when you were running and sliding on the pillow lol you could've torn your hamstring if you weren't careful!! I'm so happy that you got it in the end tho! Also, it's important to give yourself enough rest in between, because when you're trying something new, essentially, your muscles are tearing on a very small scale, and when these micro tears heal, you get stronger/more flexible. It's also why you're not able to do it immediately the morning after doing it at night; you haven't healed yet. So if you keep going at a steadier pace, you'll be able to do it all the time as your muscles adapt! I'm pretty flexible, but I can't do splits. I wanna try now tho, it looks super fun when you do it hahahaha

I would sit with my legs spread out then roll into splits. Could never do the middle splits but right and left were fine. tldr: I'm strangely flexible for a non-athlete so roll into splits.

even though i found this video to be very funny (you and your bf are lovely), it terrified me. as someone who can do the splits (and has had some minor injuries in the process) i wouldn't dare to do the things you guys were trying, they're REALLY harmful! jumping into the splits (especially if you're not naturally flexible) can create some long term damage to your joints, ligaments, and knees; and it won't make you more flexible at all. "no pain no gain" might work when you're a child and there's more elasticity in your body. but once you're an adult, pain is a sign that tells us to either stop or reduce the intensity, because or body will absolutely retaliate if it's pushed too hard -- especially when it comes to flexibility. cheers!

Bruh I am a dancer and next year we are going to roma, so the hard part of the routine is all of us (girls) falling into a split, and I’m just NOT fexible at all, so I tried warming up one day so I could do it and IN A LITERAL DAY I GOT TO DO THE SPLIT WTF
