Staying in gear holding in the clutch with an escape route is always a safe way to do things. I'm glad that we don't need any safety or smog inspections on vehicles here in Prescott, AZ. No wasting time or money. Stay safe and healthy.

I'm not real familiar with Suzi's, but any day doing something mundane like a safety inspection on a bike, is a lot better than doing the same thing in a car. Ride Safe, Ride Free

I was amazed at how easy motorcycle inspections are. My spyder is a semi-automatic, so it's always in first at stoplights and stuff. I guess thats good for quick getaways like you said.
@JoyonaBike4 жыл бұрын
I guess I'm always used to having to do a brake check, which is one more step but this place didn't bother. I'm looking forward to taking the Buell Lightning to Harley Davidson for an inspection because my hubby says it's pretty cool to watch there.

Its the same here in Singapore. We have to do it before we can renew our insurance and pay for Road Tax.

Actually, being in gear is recommended (and what is teached) up north, in Québec, Canada, in the beginner rider class. Gonna get back my Tu 250x from storage this week, after this long winter. I can't wait!

Inspection? Do you pay for that or is it part of the registration fee? And I'm always in gear at lights. Keeping that clutch hand strong ;)
@JoyonaBike4 жыл бұрын
Lol, true...keeping the clutch hand strong! The inspection is separate from the registration fee. Inspection is about $7 (not too bad) and registration for a motorcycle is a little over $50.
@DeluxeChimp4 жыл бұрын
That's not bad at all. Here in Colorado a vehicle registration can be in the hundreds. We get clipped for a percentage of the sale price. It goes down little by little every year, but I haven't gotten out the door for less than a hundo yet. Hell, the last new car I bought was over $600 to register the first time.

Us this way at the lights have to keep a bike in first gear as it is the law and the why is to move out of the way quickly if a car or truck comes up the back of you with no brakes or something like that.....
@JoyonaBike4 жыл бұрын
Oh interesting. I guess it’s not so bad I stay in first after all.

Did that inspection cost you money.? Here in Canada, we only need to have a Bike inspected for 4 reason that I know about. #1) If it was in an accident and You filed an Insurance Claim. #2) If the Bike is over 12-years-old your Insurance company "might" request this, or you could find a different Insurance company. #3) If you buy a Motorcycle from outside your own Province or from the USA. #4) I also heard... if you are pulled over bcz your Motorcycle looks completely unsafe to ride. eg. You added an extra from or back wheel or you modded it in a highly unconventional way... like added a roof or a hand-built sidecar, etc. I've never in my lifetime ever had to have a Car or Motorcycle Inspected is my point.
@JoyonaBike4 жыл бұрын
The inspection fee is separate from the registration. Inspection is $7 and registration is $50+. The way it used to work in Texas 5+ years ago was that inspection and registration were two separate things, meaning you didn't have to pass inspection to get registered. That's nice you haven't had to get a vehicle inspected as of yet!
@AngelFaceMotoRider4 жыл бұрын
Ooh $7 is nothing. Here in Canada a Motorcycle inspection is $150 but it takes hours.

I've seen a few of your video. I want to subscribe, I want to want to like your content. Maybe more actual detail about the bike , or how to bike mods or and before and after bike walk arounds. Less talk and you riding pov about events that lead to your final conclusion of the matter at hand.. "Much talk about only 1 point" Maybe pick a topic and stick to that... Thanks for listening
@JoyonaBike3 жыл бұрын
Do you mean you'd like to see more detail / mods / walk arounds of the Suzuki? Because you're right, I haven't done much of that with the Suzuki. I do have a few of those types of videos for the other bikes, have you seen those or would they interest you? I'll keep your comment in mind about the pick a topic, however, I'll probably keep making some videos that are a mix of randomness. Thanks for watching.

I found you from Delux chimp I have subscribed I also post motorcycle content. Check out my channel. I was an MSF instructor for 3 years you should leave your bike in gear pull in the clutch so if someone was to not see you from behind you can get out of the way quickly. You are doing the best and safest thing. I also will angle my bike so I have an escape route.

Hey! I subbed and will check out your channel. Thanks for sharing your insight. I haven't thought about having my bike at a certain angle so will keep that in mind. 👌🏻
