I mean it is what it is... I can't change any of it- you can either fight it or accept it and try to live your life and learn to live with it and love your body for taking care of you as best as it can! That's how I see it anyways.

This truly is such an important video and message in it. I wish everyone would see that, especially those, who feel guilty for not being the whatever is doomed as „getting life together“ „being disciplined“ „productive“ or „healthy“. It should be balanced. It should be you enjoy your life still, but bringing in some things that help you reach your goals, whatever this is. It should be eating a piece of cake, reading a book, and yet still clean at least a little corner of your home and get the documents done that you really have to get done. It can be both, it should be both- at least for a regular life. I am sure some days can be great to get a ton done and sometimes one is in the flow, but don’t think that’s a normal. It’s fine to enjoy and be productive at the same day.

Honestly, I found the hardest part about returning to soccer after injuring my knee was the mental aspect, like I was cleared to play again and was physically better but it took me a long time to get over the fear of hurting my knee again. Some days/games are easier but it’s not linear. Sending lots of positive vibes that you are able to enjoy riding again. Also having a part of your life off line and just for you may be a nice change of pace, so don’t feel pressured to film ❤ love love loved this video!!

Love, love, love this video! I agree that often these types of videos are almost a 'snap out of it' attitude whereas I definitely lean into a more gentle, slow-living mood nowadays. I was planning on starting my own version of 75 soft at the start of March but didn't feel motivated enough. I think I could do with a brain dump/journalling session and work out why I've been feeling demotivated in 2024 first before personalising the challenge more. It's okay to have bad days and feel in a slump as long as we give ourselves the grace to and don't beat ourselves up about it. PS Totally random but I also grew up a dancer (fellow tapper here) and also have a slipped disc. Maybe that's why I'm scared to do any drastic exercising in case I damage it again! PPS Loved that bathroom set-up in that local store you visited. So bright and airy.

When you were talking about how you wanted to move your body and get strong, it reminded me of exactly how I felt before I did 75 hard. You are definitely right. It’s not for everyone. I did it all the way through, and it was the hardest thing I ever did. I did have to take one day off because I got T-boned by a distracted driver and hit my head (literally on the way to the gym for my workout LOL). So I had to obviously wait to be cleared by a doctor. I’m so glad you made your own challenge and goals. 🩷 Because of 75 hard, I’ve now adapted those challenges into my everyday life and I’ve never been healthier. The first two weeks of any challenge is the HARDEST. One tip I have during the first two weeks to think of it as a “two week challenge” to trick your mind. It’s all mental!! After the first two weeks, it becomes a good routine. 🥰 I know you’ve been through a lot, so give yourself grace. I wish you all the best!! ❤️

Thank you so much for this video and being raw and vulnerable. You are totally not alone in all of the feelings you expressed. One thing that has really helped me when it comes to an ideal routine is having categories for different days and different feelings or different energy levels. So having a “most ideal routine”, “a most likely routine”, and a “minimal routine”. Especially with ADHD, our dopamine & energy levels are always different each day and there’s no way to plan that. By having 3 “routine” options, it takes away that shame aspect and instead gives you grace and you still feel like you accomplished some sort of routine, even if it’s the “minimal routine” which means “these 2 things I will do no matter what”. Even if that means just eating cereal instead of an entire homemade breakfast. You are still eating breakfast and that’s what matters. Hope this helps you too❤
@CarterSullivan
@CarterSullivan 3 ай бұрын
I did the exact same thing for years- it's one of the best thing that I ever learnt in therapy! I've transitioned away from doing this now for the time being because like I was mentioning, I just need discipline so I was always gravitating towards my minimal routine even if I felt great! But I think this can be a really great tool!

i know exactly what you mean when you say you have no discipline. I'm exactly the same way and have been wanting to do the 75 soft challenge. I'm not looking for hardcore weightloss but just to lead a better lifestyle! I get seasonal depression for sure. The pressure to go to holiday events and spend time with family and do gift shopping is just too much for me. I don’t like that I’m perceived as a grinch for not wanting to participate in all of those things. I wish I could just disappear during that time of year and that no one would expect anything from me, but I would feel like an asshole. Not really, but people would likely think that of me. As much as I’d love to do that for myself, I don’t know if the guilt-inducing comments like “we missed you at Thanksgiving” or “it would have been nice to see you for Christmas” would feel worse than just participating, even though I hate it. I hate it because I don’t enjoy it and it basically makes me the bad guy every year. I wish they’d just let me be.

Have you ever watch Dr.Eric Berg DC on here . His healthy videos are amazing for healthy life . I have been losing a lot of weight since eating sugar. Refined sugar is very harmful and makes you gain weight. Cinnamon sticks are a great alternative to sugar and are still slightly sweet but with the natural taste of cinnamon in this healthy dessert😊By the way, weather changes also affect people psychologically. Not every day's mood is the same. I agree with you, but your videos are very good for me. Thank you very much 🙏🏻for these wonderful shares Carter . Hope you have a amazing day ☕️🫖🌼🤗🫶🏻🌼

I personally believe that everything in moderation is okay even refined sugar! Life's too short to not eat good food hahaha

I think that life needs mental health support groups. Like yes therapy but something else.

I think life already does! Having people in your life that you can be open and honest with is so important. Whether its a parent, friend, partner etc. that To me that is my mental health support group💌🫶🏻
