In this video I take on my biggest spine ramp to date. My main goal was to get over the top and ride away and I tested out three different methods. The rock over, the blunt over and the Axle over. All music by @JonBishopGuitar

Great job Jon, Bravo! 💕👏👍 It makes you wonder how they did the rock spine transfers back in the day with no kick noses and not clip their back wheels? 🤔 PS- I remember eating it so hard on local concrete spine blunt transfering. My wheels got stuck in middle of very large oversized coping of the two sides 🤣 felt that one for a long while after

Happy 50th mate! Easy peasy Maestro! Next time fakie over to rock fakie, fakie bs axle to fs axle in, half cab to switch rock and nollie 180 to rock fakie. And regular to fs axle to bs axle in and the other way around. YOU CAN DO IT! 🙌🏻
@JonBishopSkate4 ай бұрын
Great stuff, thanks for the input dude, I think I’ve tried most of those on the smaller spines, I think I’d need a fair few sessions to want to come back in Fakie or front side on this one 😂
@darude4 ай бұрын
@@JonBishopSkate I know my man, but you got this! I actually am WAY more comfortable doing fakie to rock fakie than regular to switch rock over a spine. 🤷🏻♂

Outstanding skate good sir. The size of that spine and you’ve just got it down! Great birthday present from skateboarding to you. Happy 50. 🤘🏼

Awesome job! I am finding that going faster, squatting and bending the knees more is helping me with learning new tricks as well. Happy Birthday, and keep up the great work!

Happy birthday mate! The BIG 5 0 ! Let the battle begin .... FIGHT! What a great battle you'd be stoked with that run at 50. Hats off to you to give it what's for. You've got a great nack for learning and understanding what needs to be done in order to land tricks which is great for those watching. That spine is no joke, the biggest I've seen apart from one Steve Caballero road back in the day. Well done yet again. Did you have three cameras set up that day it was great with all the angles. Your productions have really come along way. Keep safe shredding and go hard !🔥🔥💯💯🛹🛹.

Many thanks for tuning in dude, yeah, I use the GoPro for the closer stuff, and the iPhone for the wide angle. At the end, I just changed the position of both to get a few different angles of the makes. The body of the video is recorded with the two cameras in one position. I’ve got a radio mic 🎤 that plugs into the iPhone Which helps to cut out a lot of the ambience and background noise, especially when I’m inside?

Dude that was sick! I loved all three transfers! I'm super impressed at 51YO you can skate that huge spine! You are willing to take the risks and reap the rewards even though you were dealing with other pains. What back pain are you having? I'm asking because I'm 47YO and deal with lower back (sciatica) pain on a regular basis.

You may need to learn the backside 5 0 for your birthday on a mini. Thats a challenge for you if your up for it.😁 I've done a few but it takes a bit to learn that one . The trick is the pinch on the heal side and not over rotating the shoulders till your really to come in. Chad has a good tutorial on them. I think I'll Start learning them again too. You up for it?

Hey dude Yeah I find I have to commit over the top which is the hardest thing. Not lean back, but pump up and tuck the knees up, the rest is just a drop in?

Interesting to see your process and how you break things down. You're a completely different type of skater to me as i like ledges and banks... but it's cool how us older skaters break things down😊. Enjoyed this
