u can combat the green ghost’s puke by eating gingers btw, they end the nausea debuff immediately. always have them whenever u go down those levels and they are basically no biggie

The baselisk paw works for this, too! And I think squid ink ravioli prevents debuffs.

The challenge bait combined with the fish smoker and the statue of blessings gives an easy 52 920 gold on days when you get the fish blessing. Just use the 3 easier catches to catch 9 iridium lava eel and smoke them.

love to watch your stardew playthroughs. i think that counts as being faster than your last perfection because of the new content. just the crafting of all the mastery recipes is a lot of xp and materials grinding. (the statue of blessing is sooo expensive to make and then the 5 extra dragon's teeth..)

I will say, the Desert Festival isn't exclusively year 2+. It is held during year 1 if you are somehow able to unlock the desert that quickly.

I’m also working on my 1.6 perfection. It’s the farthest I’ve ever gotten towards perfection. I tired to do it when I started playing a few years ago, but then I discovered modded Stardew. I’ve been enjoying playing vanilla with no cheats or exploits. It’s been a lot of work but so satisfying.

i skipped this video until i got through a very good chunk of the update on my own. the frog trinket is so adorable! i picked combat mastery first because i thought to myself, "well I don't really like combat in stardew, so I hope this makes it more interesting" and it definitely did! would recommend. i got an ice rod as my trinket which makes fighting fast enemies much more easy

I would like to mention that I think it might be possible to see the desert festival on year one. I'm on a save where I'm putting all of my efforts in mining and fishing and I'm close to reaching the bottom of the mines (lv 95) a half way through the vault (the fish smoker is insanely good) so I think there is a good chance I can see it on year one if I'm lucky (I still have a week and a day till it ends so I think I can do it on the last day) Edit: I was able to go all days! I got multiple lucky days on that week and I got the money selling everything I got at the mines (sorry Gunther)

When you're doing the Qi quest for prismatic shards, the one's you get from geodes count towards the "collect" tally. So if you, say, have modded in 999 omni geodes and set up a dozen geode crushers with the automate mod, because you like shiny things, you can theoretically get them without going to the mines at all.

Heads up, you lose money putting wine in casks. However should you choose to do so make sure to fill the entire basement. EVERY TILE should be filled then you’ll be able to get iridium quality wine about twice a year.

I'm in year 8 and I still haven't gotten perfection but I was very new to the game and didn't know much about it but I'm half way there now and this 1.6 update definitely made it easier to get perfection, but I definitely struggle to make money in the game but after watching your videos I think I will not be facing that problem. I know this is an old video by now but you can actually get squid ink from the squid kids in the regular mines! (the creepy pink heads that spawn in the lower levels)
