The Solar Eclipse didn´t occur at the time of the filming of the prank, so I´m sure he didn´t miss the real solar eclipse when it happened for real. The prank took a few seconds, and the REAL eclipse was not going on at the same time, so SURELY experienced the real one and at that time also knew they had made this prank, so no harm in that one.

It's not much different than Birds or other fish taking turns guarding eggs. Maybe more like if Kangaroos both had pouches and took turns carrying the baby.

Feeding the eels doesn't seem too weird, really. I mean, you also feed pigs, cows and chickens. Smoked eel is tasty!
