The Mayor of Atlantic City New Jersey Marty Small and his wife Laquetta who is the Superintendent of Schools were both recently indicted for beating their daughter with a broom until she was unconscious. But somehow they both still have their jobs? He was charged the other day again with asking his daughter to lie for him in court..

The Atlantic City Expressway was built right through the only middle class black neighborhood in Atlantic City. Loss of this neighborhood furthered the decline of the city.

Even though I'm from PA, I have many relatives in NJ and NY. I have been going to AC since I was a child in the 60s. My last visit there was 1995. I saw the decline and have no desire to go there again even though my relatives still visit.

this is exactly what happened to montevideo, uruguay. except we did not trade old casinos for modern casinos, they where exquisit european style mansions and hotels, and we are even today demolishing them for nasty ugly totally modern cheap and non lasting buildings we dont need to do money laundry.

Classic in the rest of the world means at least a few centuries old... in America Classic becomes a few decades old. No wonder you're soulless.

AC a dope place to live. Depending where you live. But you got to have a plan to stay out of casino work. And even in casino work you can shape out a good living just have a plan. Some of the best people you could come across or the worst lol. Video only showing the parts the casino bought and didn’t develop. Showboat the abandoned side of AC

Even if they only developed half the properties, the other half is still decrepit abandoned buildings. It's still an eye sore. The city I work in has more abandoned buildings than that are used for businesses. Although the city has finally started getting on the property owners to do something about it. They just recently in the last few years converted an old GE factory into a new social space with restaurants and stuff. I believe they are gonna make part of the building apartments too. So IMO, the city is responsible for getting those buildings to be used for something, whether that's fining the land owners for it or what.

To be fair a lot of States decriminalized Gambling. The Lottery Commission I think has a lot to do with it. There are Casinos in NH but they don't call them that because it's not technically legal to gamble. But you can on Sports.

Right. I’m from Camden so I spend aloottt of time in AC. And have friends there. Margate, longport, and brigantine are just fine. The problem is redlining. People always speak on things they have no clue about….

Your friend Trump built his casino empire by borrowing money at such high rates that the businesses had almost "no chance," of succeeding, according to The New York Times. Trump's failed Atlantic City casino demolished. 17 Feb 2021 - Former Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in New Jersey, once a hotspot during a decade of excess, reduced to rubble. Peace out.

☘️Foxwoods in Connecticut. If you remember World Series of Poker. The opening of Foxwoods. Ment all the money from NYC and north Jersey. Would no longer head to AC. Trump went and had congressional hearings with (Elizabeth Warren; this is where the Pocahontas joke came from) Foxwoods being an Indian casino. Paying no taxes. Foxwoods could offer higher payouts. The opening of Foxwoods was the final nail.

Once gambling became mainstream , there was no reason to go there, specifically. Plus, once the steel mills in PA shut down, no trips to the Jersey Shore to keep the cash flow coming in. They also shot themselves in the foot by not diversifying their industry.
